Legendary wrestler Steve Keirn announced this afternoon during a Q&A session at The Gathering in Charlotte, North Carolina that he has had a tumor removed and underwent treatment and has now beaten throat cancer.
Keirn started during the announcement that he had not made his diagnosis public as he didn't want people to think he was trying to get attention and sympathy.
Keirn, who wrestled for Memphis, Championship Wrestling from Florida, the WWF and many other promotions before heading up now-defunct WWE developmental territory FCW, released an excellent autobiography in conjunction with Ian Douglass several months ago.
