WINNING AND LOSING MATTERS, THE COLLISION VIBE IS A GOOD ONE, THE AEW MEMO AND MORE

Due to rarely losing and/or being booked for record-setting title reigns, Roman Reigns, Bianca Belair, Gunther, Orange Cassidy, MJF, The Usos, and Rhea Ripley - to name a few - clearly have been elevated to the top of their respective companies due to WINNING often! Who would have thought wins and losses matter to fans? Can we now put the Road Dogg’s corporate lie of “wins and loses don’t matter” to bed for good, as winners clearly get over with wrestling fans and feel like stars to audiences?

I don’t recall the quote you cited or the context so I will just say this.  Wins and losses absolutely matter.  The more someone wins, the more they matter in most cases.  With that said, once talents get that over, like Bianca for example, that’s when the loss doesn’t matter because she is already a made talent.

I have a question regarding that great oxymoron, wrestling logic in AEW.  Last year they held a bout which left a wrestler on the shelf and another claiming to have almost passed out through blood loss.  Now they have brought in a whole swathe of new rules and regulations designed to protect wrestlers from serious injury.  Why are they repeating the bout?

I guess that they could say that they had that card announced already before the memo was leaked.  With that said, Tony won’t be doing away with all of the things that were in the memo.   I think the top guys will still do those things.  Mox will bleed.  Kenny will take a Tiger Driver on his head. I think that the memo is more about cutting things back on the under and mid card.

I've always loved NXT until it became NXT 2.0. Now it's better than 2.0 but the over produced clips in between matches (Mello's barber shop, D'Angelo and Stack segments etc) are hard to watch. But the worst part of NXT now has to be Booker T. He doesn't seem to know what's going on and just wants to hear himself talk and get his catch phrases in. Does Booker's commentary bother you?

Booker is what he is and always has been so no it doesn’t bother me.  Vic Joseph does a great job and gets the major points across very well.

A question for Mr Dave Scherer. Roughly how many emails do you get per day from angry Young Bucks fans when you post your Q&A? And is the entertainment value of this part of the reason you continue to do so?

I don’t get many at all.  I think that the rational people who like The Bucks can understand that while they disagree with me, my opinions are rooted in fact.  I answer the questions that people send.

Hey guys, love the site.  Is it just me, or does AEW Collision give off the old Saturday Nights Main Event feel?  From the opening with wrestlers cutting short promos for their matches, and then having decent length matches, with announcers not talking about anything else but the match going on, it reminds me so much of those old SNME’s.  Do you feel the same?

I never thought of it until you mentioned it but I can see what you are saying.  Interesting observation.
