MORE ON DREW MCINTYRE'S NEW FILM ROLE

By Mike Johnson on 2023-07-12 09:25:00

As PWInsider.com reported yesterday, Drew McIntyre will miss next week's WWE Monday Night Raw after booking a role in the new Dave Bautista film The Killer's Game.

McIntyre was approached by the film for the role and took the project to WWE, which then approved his time off to take part.  He will be filming next week.  While he will miss next week's Raw, there is no word whether he will miss any additional events at this time.

The plot of the film, which is being directed by J.J. Perry (who made the fun Jamie Foxx vampire movie Day Shift) is that Bautista is a hired assassin who takes out a contract on himself when he learns he is terminally ill.  After learning the diagnosis was incorrect, he has to fight to save his life against everyone coming to collect the contract.  Ice Cube has a big role in the film as well.

The cast will also includes Sofia Boutella (Rebel Moon), Ben Kingsley (Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings), Pom Klementieff (Guardians of the Galaxy), Scott Adkins (John Wick Chapter 4), Shaina West (The Woman King), Lucy Cork (Black Widow), Daniel Bernhardt (Extraction 2), Lee Hoon (The Love is Coming) and Marko Zaror (Fist of the Condor), among others.
