WOW - Women of Wrestling Episode 42: Manipulative Maneuver
Our commentary team is David McLane, Steven Dickey and AJ Mendez.
We start with a recap of last week’s main event and then we are told about this week’s main event.
Tiki Chamorro vs. Chainsaw
Chainsaw dominates through the start of the match, and she just tosses Tiki around. Tiki hits a series of drop kicks, an insigiri and then a flying crossbody for one. Tiki gets a drop toe hold and then a tiger fade kick, but Chainsaw is able to hit a slam. Chainsaw walks around Tiki, hits a slam and covers for the pin and the win.
Winner: Chainsaw
Chainsaw gets ready to slam Tiki again, but the Tonga Twins show to run her off. They tell Chainsaw not to mess with the Island Dynasty.
We then get a video to hype the main event between Kandi Krush and Penelope Pink.
Keta Rush vs. Sylvia Sanchez w/Sophia Lopez
They lock up and Sanchez slams Rush to the mat. Rush counters with a single leg takedown. Rush gets a series of arm drags and then a head scissors takedown for two. Sanchez gets a sidewalk slam as they run the ropes and covers for two.
Sanchez gets a cloverleaf and then lets go to grab a one count. They battle in the corner with Rush taking over with elbows and shoulders, but Sanchez fires back and locks on the tarantula for a four count and then covers Rush for two. Sanchez grabs both of Rush's arms and holds them behind her with a knee in her back. Rush fights out and gets a flying back elbow followed by a drop kick and a sling blade for two.
Sanchez gets a suplex and covers for two. Sanchez gets a seated abdominal stretch, but Rush is able to fight her way free. She takes down Sanchez with kicks, but Sanchez grabs Rush’s legs when she tries for a meteora and turns it into a swinging surfboard.Sanchez gets an arm trap cross face, and Rush has to tap out.
Winner: Sylvia Sanchez
We get a video recap of how the Heavy Metal Sisters have gotten more violent over the last few months.
Jennifer Florez vs. Fury w/Razor and Mezmeriah
They lock up and they trade waistlocks and arm bars. Florez hits a keylock takedown and keeps on the arm bar. Florez gets a back slide for two. She nails a drop kick and when she goes to come off the ropes, Razor grabs her foot. When she tries again, Mezmeriah does the same. Florez goes to the floor to confront Mezmeriah, Flores attacks Mezmeriah, and Razor tosses her back in the ring. Fury gets a knee to the face for one.
Fury chokes Florez with a knee on the second rope. Fury gets a series of kicks from the apron and then covers in the ring for one. Fury grabs a chin lock and Florez fights her way free with elbows. Fury tosses Florez into the turnbuckle and as the ref is distracted, Razor and Mezmeriah attack her. Fury tosses Flores into the middle of the ring and then into the turnbuckle. Fury works Flores over in the corner. The ref gets distracted again, and Mezmeriah gets on the apron for a series of lackadaisical blows that look TERRIBLE.
Florez is able to get a boot up when Fury comes toward her. Razor grabs Florez’s foot as she climbs to the top, allowing Fury to meet her up top and hit a super plex for two. Fury locks on a rear stretch, but Flores escapes and hits a flurry of offense. She ends it with a sling blade for two as Mezmeriah puts Fury’s foot on the ropes.
Flores pays too much attention to what’s happening outside the ring, and Fury nails her with a massive chop and then the Flight of Fury (a modified sit down power bomb) for the pin and the win.
Winner: Fury
They show a video of Kandy Krush and Princess Aussie and then an interview with Kandi Krush where she is told she gets a title match.
Penelope Pink (WOW Champion) w/Lana Starr vs Kandi Krush
Vickie Lynn McCoy joins commentary.
They go into a greco roman knuckle lock and Pink punches Krush to min the exchange. Krush grabs a waistlock for a slam and Pink rolls to the outside. Krush gets a jack knife for a two count. She then works over Pink in the corner. Krush gets a crucifix pin for two. Krush gets a pair of judo throws and a short arm clothesline for two.
Pink pokes an eye and then charges into the corner, where Krush lifts her up and over, but Pink gets a guillotine on Krush’s arm on the top rope. Pink starts working over Krush’s right arm, which is how she gets her Superman punch finisher. Pink gets a two count after Lana punches her when the ref isn’t looking. Pink gets a blockbuster from the second rope.
Krush starts to fire up and gets a pair of clotheslines followed by a discus punch for two. Krush lifts Pink in a Fireman’s carry, and Pink tries to break free. She is able to get to the rope when Krush shrugs her off. Krush gets a diving uppercut. Krush tries to climb up in the corner, but Lana grabs her foot, allowing Pink to recover and meet her there. Pink gets an iconoclast and then a stomp on the injured arm. Krush escapes a Fireman’s carry and hoists Pink, who fights her way free.
Pink hits the Pretty in Pink for the pin and the win.
