The crowd chanted, "Thank you Sting."
Sting took the mic and said, "No, no, thank you."
The crowd chanted "You deserve it."
Sting told the fans they deserve it, too.
Sting said that if he knocked a tooth out and needs stitches in his lip, it was worth it to do it tonight here. He did have blood on his chin. He thanked Tony Khan for allowing him to do it.
Sting praised Darby Allin and said if he didn't have Allin by his side, he couldn't have come this far in AEW. He said he's only had a few tag team partners in his career, but Allin was "numero uno."
He led an AEW chant and thanked the crowd again.
Sting was hurt diving off a ladder while putting Sammy Guevara through two tables. He came up short and hit one table at a weird angle, but did not break the second one. He finished the match, forcing Chris Jericho to submit.
