WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley appeared on ME-TV's Svengoolie over the weekend, being interviewed in a surprise segment by Sven in his crypt about his love of Universal Monster films. including The Bride of Frankenstein, noting it was a beautifully made film. Foley noted that he had met Boris Karloff's daughter Sara at a convention and impressed her with his knowledge of the film. He said that he and his youngest son have been going through entire horror series, watching them, including Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Friday the 13th. He talked about the Hell in A Cell match with Undertaker and joked about how his wife once asked him if he could have found another person to idolize instead of Terry Funk after that match. He talked about how after that HIAC match, he didn't think he had done anything massive but Kevin Sullivan, who had been booking WCW, threw his book down at a meeting and declared the Monday Night War over, saying WWF had won. Sven and Foley discussed special Socos that Sven has made over the years for Mick, presenting him with a Mankind Socko. Foley later appeared on another segments titled "The Fight Facts of Foley" where he had to answer questions about classic horror films. Jim Cornette, CM Punk and Lisa Marie Varon, among others, have appeared on the series in the past.
ICW in the UK will be presenting "The Best of Fergal Devitt", streaming the compilation on FITE+, showing Finn Balor's matches before he emigrated to WWE on 6/25.
WWE Hall of Famer Sgt. Slaughter's daughter wasn't thrilled with Lacey Evans' new look this past Friday on Smackdown, as seen by the following exchange on social media:
