WWE HALL OF FAMER TED DIBIASE SUFFERING FROM SHORT TERM MEMORY LOSS

By Mike Johnson on 2023-06-01 13:44:00

WWE Hall of Famer Ted DiBiase revealed he is dealing with short term memory issues, likely brought on from a career of taking bumps in professional wrestling.

On his podcast, DiBiase commented,  ‘I don’t have Alzheimer’s and I don’t have dementia. But they said, “Ted, you have something — we just simply call it severe brain trauma.”  I only wrestled maybe almost 20 years, so I’m not surprised I might have a little brain trauma.  ‘What it affects is my memory, and they say it’d be easier for [me] to remember something [I] did 40 or 50 years ago, but the short-term memory — some of the stuff like now — it’s "bits and pieces.’ "

DiBiase retired in 1993 after suffering a neck injury while touring for All Japan Pro Wrestling but remained connected to pro wrestling, working as a manager and announcer as well as making appearances and promoting religious-themed wrestling events across the country.
