THE TOP THREE MOVIES FOR MMA AND MOVIE FANS

The film-making industry has gone incredibly deep into the world of Mixed Martial Arts, giving us some of the best movies which stand out not only among the likes in this genre, but also across categories and preferences.

For those of you who love this sport and follow closely tournaments and promotions, for those of you who have a favorite fighter and follow them around competitions or even for those of you who love to engage with the sport and try your skills on UFC betting sites, we have compiled a list of the top movies that you should definitely watch.

Here are the top three films for all fans.

1. Warrior - 2011

This 2011 movie starring Tom Hardy is an absolute ode to fighting, family ties, relationships and conflicts, all in a harsh, strong and emotional at the same time film, which gets quickly into your heart. With one Oscar nomination (Outstanding Performance in a supporting role for Nick Nolte) and many winning awards, Warrior certainly belongs to the top five movies for MMA fans.

The story is about a devastated US Marine who returns to his home and has his father - a former fighter who is struggling with alcohol - coach him for an upcoming MMA tournament. He matches up with his estranged brother, who emerges as an underdog in the beginning and they end up confronting one another in a battle that is more than just MMA fighting. It is a battle over everything that has separated them from the very start.

2. Million Dollar Baby - 2004

Clint Eastwood’s “Million Dollar Baby” is a must-see movie for die-hard fans. With four Oscars -including Best Motion Picture, Best Female Performance in a Leading Role by Hilary Swank, Best Male Performance in a Supporting Role by Morgan Freeman and Best Achievement in Directing by Clint Eastwood himself - this film is the ultimate story about commitment, dedication, motivation and determination. All of which are vital elements of success, but they can also be the recipe for disaster.

A young girl is determined to become the best fighter and tries to get a respected coach to train her. While in the beginning he is reluctant and hesitant, he sees the girl’s determination and absolute commitment and he undertakes the role to coach her. Their emerging strong bond goes far beyond the coach-fighter relationship and they are called to make tough decisions in their lives, which they would never have confronted if it weren’t for each other.

3. Cinderella Man - 2005

“Cinderella Man” can’t be missing from this list. Starring Russell Crowe, this film has three Oscar nominations - including Best Male Performance in a supporting role for Paul Giamatti - and many other award wins, bringing it to the top of movie fans’ preferences.

Taking place during the Great Depression, the film is about a fighter who is so determined to get back to the rings, in order to be able to drive his family out of poverty and out of trouble, that he emerges from the big underdog to the absolute star athlete. It is a Cinderella story of a man who is reborn, gains a second chance in life and achieves what nobody would ever believe he’d achieve. It is about making the unthinkable and turning everything around.

So, if you are a fan of MMA and a fan of great movies, then you should certainly watch these three films that not only journey you in the world of fighting but they are also masterpieces of film-making, acting and directing. Just watch these movies and you’ll never regret it!
