Young Rock Season3 E13 • False Ceilings
Randall is recapping the trade negotiations storyline to his phone’s voice memo. The Rock tells him to stop because he’s getting nervous. Randall asks what happens if she turns him down. He says he’ll live with because he gave it everything he had. The Rock says this is nothing compared to some of the things he’s been through.
New York 2000 - Saturday Night Live...
After the show Vince, “HHH” and “Mick Foley” (the casting is awful) congratulate him. Vince is excited for the 90 minute commercial for WWF. The Rock hopes he was good and he was still buzzing about it the next day at home in Miami. Rocky, Ata, Lia & Dany are very proud as Dwayne recaps his night. Dany says he was so funny on the show. He says he thinks he can do this acting thing. He says his phone is blowing up. Dany offers to go through his voicemails to see if he’s getting offers. She informs him their offer on a house was accepted.
Dwayne takes Rocky, Ata & Lia to the house he just bought and gives the keys to Ata. Bruno drives up with a red pickup for Rocky. Dwayne says he promised to buy them a house and he was able to do it. Dwayne tells them he is giving them security he always wanted for them since they had to move so much.
Hawaii 1985....
Dewey overhears Ata talking to the bank about a deposit that didn’t post. She hears a knock on the door. Dewey picks up the line and asks the banker if he can get a loan to buy them a house.
Back in 2000 Ata tells Dwayne she heard him that day. Rocky is looking at all the decorations Dwayne had brought in. He sees his and Peter’s tag team belts. They reminisce about how life was rough was after leaving Hawaii.
Hawaii 1985...Lia, Ata & Rocky are concerned about how they didn’t make enough money on the last show. Lia reads a letter about being deported. She doesn’t tell Ata.
Back at home Ata, Rocky & Dwayne are watching WrestleMania 2 and Ata says they should make the Peter Maivia Tribute Show and annual thing. There is a knock on the door and Rocky answers. It’s the landlord telling him the rent is a few weeks late. Rocky says he’ll mail the check and shuts the door on him.
At dinner, Ata & Rocky make creative pitches to Lia who is distracted thinking about the FBI and getting deported. Dwayne says it was a great night until the arrive home and see they’ve been evicted.
Back in 2000, Lia says you got evicted from your house but I got evicted from the country. Dwayne says he eventually found a loophole that they used against the FBI that proven Lia was a citizen but that’s a story for another time.
Dany tells Dwayne major agents are calling to make him offers for acting representation. Dwayne says he wants to focus on WrestleMania before going forward with acting.
Housewarming party at The Johnson’s. Pat, Macho, Sheik & Atlas are there. Sheik says every wrestler who goes to Hollywood end up back in wrestling. Cue Hulk Hogan arriving.
Hogan and Rock have a talk about being the only two wrestlers to host SNL. Hogan asks what’s next for The Rock. Dwayne tells him acting is intriguing but wishes everything could stay the way it is. Hogan says they don’t have regular jobs and they’re all one injury or a new star away from being irrelevant. He encourages Dwayne to aim higher and when the time comes he’ll know when to take a new opportunity.
Back at the Presidential Palace, PM Honig comes to deliver the news to Dwayne and she agrees to the trade deal but she’s more interested in him finishing his story about what Hogan told him.
Anaheim Pond - WrestleMania 2000...
The locker room is preparing for the main event. Bruno hands The Rock an envelope from Dany and it’s the script for “The Mummy Returns”.
The Rock ends the story and says when he visits again they’ll share some tequila. Randall wants to write an article about the trip but Dwayne tells him President Taft has to get the credit because it’s good for the country. He thanks Randall for helping him get back up after losing the election. Randall asks if he’s going to run for President again and The Rock says no, he wants to aim higher and start his own country.
