WWE issued an email to fans local to the Boston market this morning announcing John Cena would be appearing at the 3/6 Monday Night Raw taping in his hometown of Boston, MA at the TD Garden Arena.
The email reads:
JOHN CENA TO APPEAR LIVE IN BOSTON!
16-Time World Champion John Cena will appear LIVE at TD Garden in Boston, MA for the 3/6/23 edition of Monday Night RAW.
One would think this sets up Cena's angle for Wrestlemania 39.
Cena has been in Australia in recent weeks filming the forthcoming movie Ricky Stanicky, a comedy co-starring Zac Efron.
Cena last appeared on the 12/31/22 episode of Friday Night Smackdown, teaming with Kevin Owens against Roman Reigns and Sami Zayn.
