JEFF HARDY LEGAL UPDATE, SYTCH HEARING PUSHED BACK AND MORE

By Mike Johnson on 2023-02-14 11:00:00

We've had a few reader questions about some legal cases.  Here are updates:

Jeff Hardy - He is currently slated for a pre-trial hearing on 2/23 in Florida that is listed as a case management conference.    There had been a mention previously in court records of the two sides trying to come to some sort of plea deal in regard to his DUI arrest, but nothing official has been reflected in the court records.    Hardy, 45, was arrested on 6/28/22 at 9:55 AM and charged with charged with DUI (Alcohol or Drugs), third offense within ten years, driving while license canceled/suspended/revoked and violation of restrictions placed on driver's license.  The primary charge is a felony under Florida law, punishable up to five years' imprisonment, should Hardy be convicted.  The others would fall under misdemeanors.   He filed a written plea of not guilty filed with the court on 6/28/22.     Hardy's attorneys waived his right to a speedy trial in July 2022.

Tammy Sytch - Her latest pre-trial hearing in Florida has been officially pushed back to 3/23 at Sytch's attorney's request.  There are several witnesses still scheduled to be deposed.    Sytch, 50, has been charged one count of DUI causing death (DUI Manslaughter, a felony in the third degree), one count of causing death while operating a vehicle with a suspended or revoked driver’s license (a felony in the third degree), four counts of DUI causing injury to a person, and three counts of DUI causing damage to property following the March 2022 death of 75-year old Julian Lasseter during a traffic incident in Ormond Beach, Florida.   Back in August 2022, Sytch waived her right to a speedy trial "arising out of the criminal episode made the subject of this prosecution; specifically, the right to be tried within 175 days of her being taken into custody as provided by law and Rule 3.191, Florida Rules of Criminal Procedure."  At the time, Sytch was given "criminal indigent status", meaning that since she is without sufficient income to afford a lawyer for defense in her criminal case.

Trenesha Biggers - There has been no movement in either criminal case against her in Texas or the civil lawsuit she filed in New York against the State of Texas and others.  The civil case has not had any updates since October 2022.  A bench warrant for her arrest is, as of this morning, still active in Texas after she did not appear for the long-delayed criminal trial on charges interference with child custody and "aggravated kidnapping facilitate."  Biggers' civil lawsuit was filed from a New York address, so it may be she has left Texas.

Brandon "G-Raver" Graver - Graver has a pre-trial conference scheduled for 4/13 at 2 PM in Huntingdon County, PA.  He was released on 1/9 on an unsecured bail of $75,000.  There is still a hearing on 2/2 regarding having the case against him and the other person authorities found in his car joined into one trial.  Pennsylvania Court records indicate Graver has been charged with:

-Manufacture, Delivery or Possession with Intent to Manufacture or Deliver, which is a felony in Pennsylvania.
-Violation of Hazard Regulation.
-Use/Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
-Intentional Possession of a Controlled Substance by Person Not Registered.
-Possession of Marijuana - Small Personal Use.
-Driving Under Influence of Alcohol or a Controlled Substance.
-Failure to Keep Right.
-Failure to use Safety Belt - Driver and Front Seat Occupant.
