Episode 21: Curveball Contenders
BK Rhythm and Robbie Rocket vs Jennifer Flores and Keta Rush
Once again, BK is in the opening match, they must see her as a future star. BK has a rap to start the match.
Rocket starts off with Rush. Keta gets a crucifix takedown and pin for two to start things off. Flores is tagged in and they give her a two person hip toss. BK tags in and Flores gets an arm drag and then takes BK down with an arm bar. Rush tags in and they have an awkward trip of BK before Rush covers for a two count.
Rush whips BK into the ropes, and goes for a drop kick, but Rocket holds BK so that Rush’s drop kick misses. Rocket tags in and hits a snap mare. Rocket covers for two and she tags out so that BK hits a sidewalk slam on Rush for two. Rocket and BK tag in and out quickly. Rush is able to reverse a suplex on BK and BK takes control back with blows to the back. BK and Flores go back to quick tags. Rush hits a pair of kicks and a neck breaker to get to her corner and tags in Flores. BK is tagged in and Flores cleans house.
She hits a spinning kick for a two count on BK. Rush tags in, as does Rocket and gets a springboard crossbody on Rocket for the pin and the win.
Winners: Jennifer Flores and Keta Rush
We then go to Beverly Hills with Penelope Pink and Lana Starr, who is upset that the new sports car she ordered wasn’t pink, like she asked. Lana Starr then complains about Big Rig Betty and Holly Swag texting her to ask for matches. Pink then says they should put them in a match with Miami Sweet Heat. Starr then says she’s gotten a great idea, having them fight Miami Sweet Heat.
We then get a video recap of Holly and Betty’s entrance into WOW.
Malia Hosaka vs Tiki Chamorro
Malia has a brief pretaped promo before the match. She comes to the ring with the rest of her Exile group, Genesis and Exodus.
Malia attacks Tiki before the bell and Tiki fights back and gets a pair of monkey flips and an arm drag. Tiki holds on and turns the arm drag into an arm bar. Malia is able to reverse it into a head scissors. Tiki is able to break free and locks in another arm bar. Malia is able to get to her feet and forces Tiki into the corner and refuses to break clean. Tiki charges into the corner, but Malia hits a spin kick on Tiki.
Malia tosses Tiki out of the ring where she is attacked by Exile and Genesis, who then toss her into the ring and Malia whips Tiki into the ropes. Tiki gets a sunset flip, but Malia is able to get to her feet first. She whips Tiki into the ropes again and Tiki hits a cross body for two. Malia is able to take Tiki down and holds a claw on Tiki’s midsection.
Tiki gets to her feet and is able to get a drop toe hold on Malia into the ropes, and Tiki hits a Tiger Fade kick on Malia. Tiki goes to the second rope and gets a Vader bomb for two, but Genesis and Exodus pull Tiki off. Malia hits a TKO and covers for three.
Winner: Malia Hosaka
Malia puts a foot on Tiki's hair and calls for Genesis and Exodus for a beat down. The Tonga twins rush the ring and drive her off. They challenge Exile to a three on three match.
We get the reason for the upcoming match…the heels gave the babyfaces a makeover and made them look bad. Still better than the Japanese shampoo commercial story Edge had to do.
Gigi Gianni and Amber Rodriguez vs Americana and Jessie Jones
Jones and Gigi start off and trade holds until Jones hits a snap mare and grabs a frog facelock. They go back to arm bars and Jones is able to get an over the top arm drag. They get to their feet again and Jones gets a drop toe hold. Jones follows with an arm drag and tags in Americana, who hits a leaping attack and an arm drab. Rodriguez tags in. Americana picks the leg and gets a headlock. Rodrigues is able to reverse it into a head scissors after pulling the hair.
Americana is able to twist out of it and when they get up, Rodriguez gets a snap mare and a short clothesline. Gigi tags in and they work over Americana in their corner. Gigi stretches Americana, and she is able to fight her way out of it, and they both hit a cross body on each other. Rodriguez and Jones are tagged in.
Jones works the arm with arm bars and slamming into Rodriguez’s shoulder. Jones locks in an arm bar. All four women get into the ring and Rodriguez and Gigi are slammed into each other, and Jones and Americana do a double cover for the pin and the win.
Winners: Americana and Jesse Jones
Afterward, Americana and Jesse Jones smear lipstick all over Gigi and Rodriguez’s face in revenge.
They hype the upcoming gauntlet match for the World Title.
Miami Sweet Heat (Lindsey and Laurie Carlson, WOW Tag Team Champions) vs The Mother Daughter Truckers (Big Rig Betty and Holly Swag)
Betty and Laurie start off and Laurie keeps saying she doesn’t want to touch Betty. Betty shoves Laurie into her corner and Lindsey tags in. They lock up and Betty shoves her into the corner as well. Laurie and Holly tag in and lock up and Laurie shoves Holly back. Betty is tagged back in and Laurie goes for a waistlock. Betty gets a reverse hip attack.
OK, she thrust her backside in Laurie and knocked her back into her corner.
Lindsey tags in and they trade waistlocks. Betty hits another hip attack, AJ calls it a butt bump. Betty hits a snap mare and Holly tags in for a shotgun drop kick. Holly is whipped into the rope and she hangs on, pointing at her brain to show she outsmarted Lindsey., but she’s pulled out of the ring by Penelope Pink and Vickie Lynn McCoy who attack her on the outside.
Holly is rolled back in and Lindsey takes her to their corner where they work her over. Betty tries to come in to help Holly and the ref holds her back so there can be more interference. Lindsey and Laurie tag in and out quickly to keep up the attack. Holly is tossed around in the ring as if she’s Darby Allin, without the steel steps and blood.
Holly is finally able to get an insigiri, and tags in Betty so that she can clean house. After she lays the twins out, Holly is tagged in and she locks a full nelson on Lindsay and as they struggle, the ref is nailed in the back of the head and goes down. Holly hits a clothesline and covers until another ref comes from the back. He starts to count and McCoy pulls him out of the ring. Pink hits a Pretty in Pink and the ref is rolled back into the ring and he counts the three
