WOW - Women of Wrestling Episode 20: Hunt for Revenge

Our commentary team is David McLane, Steven Dickey, and AJ Mendez

BK Rhythm vs Princess Aussie

BK has been getting a match on each of the last few shows, and while she’s still incredibly green, it’s clear they are pushing her. Oh, and her rap doesn’t quite rhyme.

The announcers push that Aussie has been sick over the last week.

They lock up and trade headlocks and arm bars, with Aussie getting the take down. They lock up a second time and BK is able to get a solid back elbow with the break. They run the ropes and Aussie gets a drop kick and BK leaves the ring. She gets on the apron and snaps Aussie backward across the top rope before getting back in the ring.

BK puts the boots to Aussie in the corner and then snap mares her to the middle of the ring. She nails kicks and covers for two. Aussie is whipped into the corner and when she tries to come out, she is able to get a strike on BK. BK tries for a suplex, but Aussie is able to use it to get a small package for two. BK is able to take over and get the suplex this time.

BK stomps on Aussie on the apron and then she locks on a rear chinlock. Aussie is able to work her way up and they trade kicks and strikes. Aussie gets a series of clotheslines. She locks in the Indian Deathlock and holds on until BK is able to fight her way free. They trade kicks and BK gets a hip toss and a two count. BK sets up for the mic drop and instead Aussie escapes and gets a rolling cutter and a frog splash for the pin and the win.

Winner: Princess Aussie

We get a recap of The Beast relinquishing the title due to injury and Jungle Girl vowing to help her come back.

David announces there will be a gauntlet match for the World Title.

We then get Coach Campanelli’s tip. She says you don't get water until you start sweating and knocks a water bottle out of Randi Rah Rah’s hands. I am starting to like these short bits.

We then get a recap of the feud between Kandi Krush and Siren’s team.

Holidead, Chainsaw and Siren vs Kandi Krush, Foxxy Fierce, and Chantilly Chella

Siren’s team tosses out Kandi’s team before the bell. We start with Holidead and Chella, and Chella gets an arm drag, a knee, a snap mare and a hurricanrana for a two count. Chella tags in Foxxy, and Chella sweeps the legs and Foxxy gets a drop kick. Chainsaw tags in and gets a series of shoulder thrusts in the corner. Foxxy is able to get a wheelbarrow into a victory roll for two. Foxxy gets an insigiri and both her and chainsaw tag out.

Kandi is now in with Siren, and Kandy takes Siren down with a clothesline and a one count. Kandi locks on a headlock and Holidead tags in. Siren drops Siren onto Kandi for a two count. Holidead taunts Foxxy and Chella, who come in and while the ref is getting them out of the ring, all three of Siren’s team attack, and Siren stays in. Siren suplexes Kandi. Kandi’s team tries to get in again, allowing Siren’s team to keep up the beat down.

Chainsaw is in the ring and hits a clubbing blow to the back and a cover for two. Chainsaw takes Kandi to her corner and they beat her up. The ref breaks it up and Chella and Foxxy rush the ring, knock Siren and Holidead off the apron and hit Chainsaw with a double DDT. Holidead attacks Kandi on the top and hits a gut buster.Chainsaw covers for the pin and the win.

Winners: Holidead, Chainsaw and Siren

Randi Rah Rah and Coach Campanelli are in the back and gives Randi a jacket saying that they need to think like twins. Randi says she has a second cheerleading outfit, and Coach reminds her of another Coach Tip: It’s Coach’s Way Or The Highway.

Coach Campanelli and Randi Rah Rah vs The Tonga Twins (Kaos and Kona)

Coach starts with Kona, but she tags Randi before they lock up. Kona hits a shoulder tackle, and then gets a hip toss on Randi when she comes off the ropes. Kaos tags in and they hit a double back breaker.  Coach breaks up the pin and Kaos slams Randi twice until Coach comes into the ring blowing the whistle. Kaos tosses the whistle and Coach goes back on the apron. Kaos picks up Randi and Coach gets a blind tag.

Kaos kicks Coach and then tosses Randi out of the ring. She whips Coach into her corner, and then hits a splash. Kona tags in and is whipped at Coach, but Coach gets out of the way. She hits a tornado DDT on Kona. Coach hits an elbow drop, a leg drop and then locks on a camel clutch. Kona is able to get up and snaps Coach over to the corner. Randi tags in and leaps into Kona’s arms and Randi is able to twist around and tries for the sunset flip, but Kona blocks it and leaps for a foot slam.

Kona whips Randi into the corner. Kaos tags in and they both hit hip attacks. Kaos holds Randi for Kona to charge, but Randi drops out of the way and the Tonga Twins collide. Coach is tagged in and Randi goes up for an assisted swanton bomb. Coach covers for the pin and the win.

Winners: Coach Campanelli and Randi Rah Rah’

This was a decent comedy match, and Coach and Randi are wonderful in their roles.  The wrestling was passable, but the comedy worked.

We get a video package explaining both women in the main event. Another addition to the productions.

Tormenta w/Sophia Lopez (the world’s greatest attorney) vs Leia Makoa

Tormenta starts with a drop kick before the bell. She then sends Leia to the mat and hits a sliding drop kick. They fight on the apron, and Tormenta hits a body slam on the apron, which I have heard is the hardest part of the ring. Leia rolls out of the ring and Sophia slams her head into the apron, which I just talked about. But Leia is a Samoan, so it doesn’t affect her and she returns the favor to Sophia.

Leia gets into the ring and is kicked by Tormenta, who then slams Leia into the top turnbuckles.  Leia then slams her own head into the turnbuckles and attacks Tormenta with chops and strikes.  Tormenta is able to stop the attack and gets a suplex. Tormenta goes to the top and Leia rolls out of the way. Leia hits a bicycle kick and then hits a STO for the pin and the win.

Winner: Leia Makoa

Best match of the show, but super fast.

Leia grabs a mic and says she has big goals and big dreams. She has been hurt enough. She’s lost enough. And there were times she wanted to throw in the towel. She is interrupted by Wrecking Ball. The ref pull them apart as we go to credits.
