Variety is reporting that Peter Farrelly's R-rated comedy "Ricky Stanicky" which stars Zac Efron and John Cena is set to begin shooting in Melbourne, Australia which will double for Providence, Rhode Island. Production will take place through February and March, so Cena will be there during the majority of WWE's Wrestlemania season.

"Ricky Stanicky"  has the following synopsis, "When three teens pull a prank and burn down a house in their neighborhood, they create a fake person to take the blame -- Ricky Stanicky did it! Twenty years later we see that they have been using this alibi to get out of every uncomfortable situation in life. When their wives force them to set up a meeting with Stanicky, they hire an actor."

John Cena will play the washed-up actor that Zac Efron and friends hire to play "Ricky" for their wives.

John Cena and Zac Efron are already in Australia. The country itself is giving quite a bit of subsidy for the film's production.

According to Variety, the Australian government is giving the production $6.75 million US through the Location Incentive and the Victoria state Victorian Screen Incentive program. The project is expected to generate $70 million US for the local economy, creating 400 jobs.
