Former WWE Raw Women's Champion Nia Jax returned tonight in WWE's Women's Royal Rumble Match tonight. We had reported earlier this week that there was a belief she would be in the Rumble in the Elite section and confirmed earlier today she was in San Antonio.
Jax signed with the company back in 2014 after signing a WWE NXT deal. She was brought up to the main roster in 2016 for the Raw brand and held the Women's Tag Team Championship several times with Shayna Baszler. Jax was released in April 2021 and turned down a previous Rumble return offer a year ago.
Jax has not wrestled since departing WWE, but at one point was advertised for the doomed British promotion that the former Authors of Pain looked to run that went nowhere and saw their only announced dates canceled.
