WE HEAR LESS COMPLAINTS WHEN WWE IS DELIVERING A BETTER PRODUCT, I AM OK WITH FANS MAKING EXCUSES FOR WHAT THEY LIKE, IMAGINARY FANS AT LEAST TELL A BOOKER WHAT HE WANTS TO HEAR AND MORE

Tony Khan started a second fantasy wrestling “show” when he was almost 30 years old.  Was one really not enough for him?

Apparently not.  That audience of three was probably just not satisfied with one E Fed show a week.  They needed two.

How can Tony Khan say that he gauges fan reactions of imaginary people to a news outlet and not realize how ridiculous he sounds?

I literally have no idea.  When I was sent that piece, I couldn’t believe he would say it.  If he left it at he has been doing an E Fed TV show since 1995, when he was 12 or 13 years old?  OK, I guess.  When he added that at almost 30 he added a second weekly show, all I could think was, “Damn, this guy needs some other hobbies.”  When he said he could tell which of his angles were getting over with imaginary, fake people, it blew my mind.  But, it also explains why he does the things running AEW that he does.

Does it bother you that people keep making excuses for The Elite, their actions and the way they cause people to turn off Dynamite?

It doesn’t bug me at all when fans do it.  Fan is short for fanatic.  I don’t expect them to be fair or acknowledge the obvious.  If they like The Elite and don’t like Punk, they will ignore the facts and just make excuses for their guys.  That comes with the turf, though they may feel like they should have been more aware of the issues if AEW shuts down.  The people who should be taken to task for cheerleading for The Elite are people who are supposed to be journalists, but fans?  Nope, it doesn’t bug me.

Tony Khan is an analytics guy.  How can’t he see the pattern of the Elite turning off viewers?

He’s a smart guy.  He has to see it.  My guess is he doesn’t care.  Much like Vince McMahon did, he wants to run his product his way, to pop himself.  He has the money to spend on a real life E Fed and he is doing it.  It’s his money to spend as he sees fit.

You get a lot of Tony Khan questions.  Do you get many WWE questions?

Right now, probably 90 percent about Khan.  I think it’s because WWE is stable right now and the product has improved a lot since Vince McMahon “retired”.  AEW on the other hand is like WCW was back in the day where chaos is concerned so people have a lot more to say.
