How great was the storytelling in the Bloodline storyline at War Games?

It was fantastic.  From Roman investigating backstage, to him sending out Sami instead of Jey, to Sami’s nut shot on KO, to Jey hugging Sami, it was awesome.  I can’t wait for the follow up on Smackdown.  Great storytelling makes the matches better.  Wrestling is about way more than just people doing moves, it’s about storytelling.

So Kenny Omega says in Sports Illustrated that people need to move on and that it isn't The Lollipop Guild vs. Punk. However, all I'm seeing tonight on Dynamite is Omega mocking the GTS hand symbol, etc. I see The Bucks mocking the way Punk sits during the trios match. Omega is a damn hypocrite.

Yes, yes he is.  He is also petty and small, just like The Young Bucks.  Tony Khan continues to let these clowns alienate viewers and customers.  Sure, their fans love their antics but people who like CM Punk?  Or just people that love wrestling over Masterpiece Theatre-Cirque du Soliel?  They have been told your guy is gone and the children who do the stuff that drove him to blow up in the first place are still being children….and rewarded.  AEW is hard for me to root for, they really are.

So, Tony Khan has stated that the EVPs are still EVPs.  Doesn’t that tell us all we need to know about CM Punk’s status with the company?

I think it certainly makes it appear that Khan chose his buddies who acted up over the guy who lost his cool because those three were being children in this one.  In a situation where everyone was in the wrong, Khan’s choice is the perfect example of the terrible culture I feel he has fostered backstage.  It also shows that he has no idea how to run a locker room.  He encourages childish behavior from his executives and even rewards them when they push the top draw out the door.  Khan has mishandled so much in AEW, he really has.  He is lucky he has the money to buy out his mistakes.

Tony Khan, supposedly a student of the game, has taken the ROH Title and made it a joke with a stipulation that is Vince Russo-like with Claudio Castagnoli.  Is Khan really the smart fan we have heard he was?

Well, he’s a long-time fan, I can attest to that.  He was on the AOL boards back in the 90s.  He read newsletters.  But in my opinion, he is a Vince Russo like booker.  Clearly, at least to me, he hasn’t learned a thing from the history of badly run promotions and terrible booking that he has witnessed other than to emulate it.

AEW Fight Forever. Allegedly way over budget after being in development for 3 years, and working to get CM Punk off the cover. They started taking pre orders in August, if this thing isn’t out by the Christmas season, what are we really looking at here? They started taking people’s money 6 months ago for a game with a promised 2022 release date and it’s almost December.

I don’t know anything about video games but I do know that the investment in this was large and it has taken a really long time to get to market.  I don’t understand why either.
