MOTIONS FILED TO DISMISS CHRIS DICKINSON'S LAWSUIT AGAINST EX-GIRLFRIENDS

By Mike Johnson on 2022-10-06 09:30:00

Christina Kardooni (who wrestles as Christina Von Eerie) and McKaila Coulter each filed motions on 9/26 before the U.S. District Court, District of New Jersey, requesting that the lawsuit Chris "Dickinson" Torre filed against them be dismissed, PWInsider.com has confirmed.

The backbone of each of their motions was that the lawsuit never should have been filed in New Jersey as Dickinson resides in New York, Kardooni resides in Canada and Coulter resides in New England, therefore there was zero jurisdiction for a court in New Jersey to handle the case.

In her motion to dismiss, Coulter noted that none of the instances she alleged about Torre occurred in New Jersey, none of her social media posts can be used to establish "Minimum Contacts" in New Jersey, the post don't reference "conduct" that occurred in New Jersey and that no efforts were made by Coulter to promote her social media posts in New Jersey.  Coulter also noted that while Torre "assets Coulter aimed the social media posts at his employer", "a plain reading of the tweets shows that she did not."

In Kardooni's motion, many of the same points were touched on.  She also argued that her social media tests did not constitute "commercial" speech, so they would have no bearing on his professional wrestling career.

Torre has until 10/24 to file a motion in response arguing why the case should not be dismissed.

Court records indicate there will be no hearings regarding the motions and that the presiding Judge, Susan D. Wigenton, will make decision on or around 11/7.
