MLW SUPER SERIES 2022 RESULTS & NOTES FROM GEORGIA

Major League Wrestling ran Norcross, GA last night for Super Series 2022.  We are told the promotion drew 968 fans total with a lot of families and kids.  A big part of the promotion locally was for Latin fans and families.  The crowd was said to have been really loud and into the show, especially Microman in the main event.  The plan is to return to the Atlanta area in early 2023.

Former ROH promoter Gary Juster was in attendance.

Results from the show, which will air on future episodes of MLW Fusion:

*Lady Flammer defeated La Hiedra, Lady Shani and Reina Dorada in a number one contenders match for the MLW Featherweight Championship.  Reigning Champ Taya Valkyrie was on commentary and ended up in a brawl with Flammer after the match.

*Dragon Gate's Shun Skywalker reversed a pinning combo to win the MLW Middleweight Championship from Myron Reed.  Skywalker came out with Davey Richards in his corner.

*The Samoan SWAT Team defeated Mark Davidson & Angel Fashion in a squash.  Jacob Fatu was in their corner.  We are told the SST got one of the biggest reactions of the night.

*Davey Richards defeated Dragon Gate's SB KENTo to retain the MLW National Openweight Championship.

*Alex Kane defeated D3 in the Peach State Prize Fight.   Davey Richards came out after and the Bomaye Fight Club attacked him and beat him down.

*MLW Champion Alex Hammerstone pinned Bandido in what was described to us as a great match. Afterwards, Hammer put over Bandido on the mic.  Bandido then showed Hammer love and did a singalong with the crowd and Hammer.   EJ Nduka then came out and got into it with Hammer.  He had turned heel and attacked him at the last NYC event, which has yet to air.  Agents and referees got involved.

*Mance Warner and Mads Krugger went to a no contest in a wild, bloody brawl all over the arena and into the crowd.

*EJ Nduka pinned Sultan del Aire in a squash. Hammerstone came out and they resumed their issues, fighting up on the stage. Hammerstone put EJ through the stage with a powerbomb.  Hammerstone was bleeding from his mouth and chin during this.  The stage spot got a big pop we are told.

*Taya Valkyrie defeated Lady Flammer to retain the MLW Featherweight Championship.

*Jacob Fatu pinned Willie Mack. 

*In what was said to have been a FUN main event, Microman & Komander & Laredo Kid beat Black Taurus & Gino Medina & Mini Abismo Negro. Mister Saint Laurent lead a sing along to the Microman song with the crowd. Microman then wandered out onto the stage and did a stage dive into Saint Laurent’s arms. Saint Laurent then held him up like Simba in The Lion King.  Well, that sounds different.  As noted earlier, the live crowd loved Microman.  We are told all the big spots got big reactions but the novelty of Microman is what was most over.

The promotion returns to the 2300 Arena next month for Fightland 2022.
