HOW WWE WILL HANDLE POTENTIAL SUMMERSLAM THUNDERSTORMS TOMORROW

By Mike Johnson on 2022-07-29 14:06:00

One of the major questions we have been asked a lot by readers over the last several weeks is how will World Wrestling Entertainment deal with potential thunderstorms on Summerslam Saturday in Nashville.

PWInsider has been told that after being hit with a weather delay at Wrestlemania 37, WWE is prepared for the potential of Summerslam being paused due to the weather as well.  If they indeed have to deal with such an occurrence, we are told there will be an indoor area ready that would serve the same function as  as the WWE pre-show panel show area outside among the fans.

If WWE is required to pause Summerslam due to weather concerns, they can go to that backstage set-up area to broadcast discussions and bring talents over for interviews to help kill the time until they get the all clear again.

Obviously everyone involved are hoping that doesn't happen, but they have a contingency plan ready if necessary, something that did not have at Wrestlemania 37 in Tampa, the first time a WWE live broadcast needed to be paused due to thunderstorms.  The only other time such a thing has happened would be the WWF In Your House - Beware of Dog PPV back in 1995, in which a hurricane knocked the entire broadcast off the air as the live event continued.
