GCW Gateway To Death Recap (7/1)

- Nick Gage makes his way to the ring and he gets the microphone, Gage wants to know where his gang is at and the fans tell him. Gage hypes up the crowd for GCW’s debut in St. Louis. 

Gringo Loco vs. Blake Christian

The match begins with some back and forth between the competitors, Christian and Loco trade  afew roll ups for a few near falls. Christian goes for a head scissors takedown and Loco keeps himself standing, Loco downs Christian before landing a basement drop kick. Christian trips up Loco before missing a splash attempt, Loco then nails a downed Christian with a standing moonsault for a near fall. Loco gets Christian in the pendulum swing before nailing him with an elbow drop, Christian gets up and Loco nails him with some chops. Loco follows up by nailing Christian with a reverse DDT for a near fall, Christian fights back to trip up Loco and roll him up. Loco fights back and Christian nails him with an enziguri, Christian corners Loco before landing a forearm strike followed by a springboard twisting press. Loco leaves the ring and Christian nails him with a suicide dive, Christian gets Loco back in the ring for a pin attempt. Christian grounds Loco while nailing him with some elbow strikes, Christian drops Loco again before kicking him in the back a few times.

Christian traps the arms of Loco while stomping away on him, Loco fights back and he eats a knee strike for his efforts. Loco catches a leaping Christian to nail him with a power bomb followed by a moonsault for a near fall, Christian fights back and he drops Loco with an enziguri. Loco escapes a pile driver attempt before trading super kicks with Christian, Christian then hits Loco with a sliced bread. Loco recovers and he gets to the second rope, Christian meets him up there before Loco knocks him off before landing a super cutter for a near fall. Christian leaves the ring and Loco follows him out there before hitting him with a cup of beer, Christian fights back and he takes out Loco with a dive from the stage. Christian gets Loco in the ring before landing a half and half suplex for a near fall, Christian goes to the top rope and Loco meets him up there. Loco nails Christian with a one man Spanish fly followed by a sit out power bomb for a near fall, Christian goes to the top rope again and Loco meets him up there. Christian nails Loco with a super poison rana followed by a curb stomp for a three count.

Winner: Blake Christian

2 Cold Scorpio vs. Allie Katch

The match begins with Katch backing Scorpio into the ropes before taunting him a little bit, Scorpio and Katch do some chain wrestling until Scorpio lands a hip toss. Katch takes Scorpio down with a headlock and he quickly counters with a head scissors, Katch gets free and she works over the legs of Scorpio. Scorpio counters a headlock from Katch by getting her in a hammer lock, Katch gets free and she has a striking exchange with Scorpio. Katch ends the exchange by dropping Scorpio with a clothesline, Scorpio goes to the corner before nailing Katch with a variety of kicks. Scorpio drops Katch before landing an elbow drop and a leg drop for a near fall, Scorpio picks up Katch before dropping her with a headbutt. Scorpio then cracks Katch with a snap mare followed by a mule kick to the face, Scorpio follows up with a flipping leg drop on Katch for a near fall. Scorpio keeps Katch down while applying a chin lock to her, Katch gets free and she cracks Scorpio with a few strikes. Katch eventually drops Scorpio after landing a trio of clotheslines, Katch then nails Scorpio with a few kicks and a basement drop kick for a near fall. 

Scorpio fights back and he nails Katch with a shot to the back, Katch avoids a clothesline before hitting Scorpio with a high cross body. Scorpio recovers and he drops Katch with a back suplex, Scorpio then hits Katch with a middle rope flipping leg drop for a near fall. Scorpio follows up with a top rope flipping leg drop for another near fall, Katch gets up and Scorpio slaps her in the face a few times. Katch fights back and he nails Scorpio with a few strikes of her own, Katch then hits Scorpio with a knee strike followed by an enziguri for a near fall. Katch then nails Scorpio with a running senton for another near fall, Scorpio backs Katch into the corner before landing some shoulder thrusts. Katch recovers to hit Scorpio with a seated senton and running butt smash in the corner, Katch then lands a cannonball on Scorpio for another near fall. Katch goes for a Pussy Piledriver and Scorpio gets free to land an STO. Scorpio then hits Katch with a top rope twisting leg drop for a three count.

Winner: 2 Cold Scorpio

Axton Ray vs. Ninja Mack

The match begins with Mack backing Ray into the corner before letting him go free, Ray mocks Mack and Mack nails him with a leg kick. Ray backs Mack into the ropes and Mack paint brushes him, Ray scores a takedown on Mack and Mack gets to the ropes. Ray hits Mack with a waist lock takedown and Mack leaves the ring, Mack returns and Ray gets him in a chin lock. Mack gets free and he nails Ray with a knee strike, Mack gets on the shoulders of Ray and Mack stands on them before leaping to the mat below. Ray gets Mack in a headlock and Mack trips him up, Ray gets up with Mack on his shoulders and Ray eventually goes for a suplex before exchanging some pin attempts. Ray then hits Mack with a shoulder tackle before getting dropped with an European uppercut, Mack charges at Ray and Ray nails him with a right. Mack and Ray have a striking exchange in the middle of the ring, Mack eventually knocks Ray out of the ring. 

Ray avoids a penalty kick from Mack before eating a super kick a short time later, Mack gets back in the ring before nailing Ray with a suicide dive. Mack takes Ray around the ringside area while landing some chops, Ray fights back and he nails Mack with a punch from the ring apron. Ray picks up Mack and he attacks him with some chops of his own, Ray gets Mack in the ring before landing a running European uppercut. Mack fights back and he cracks Ray with a super kick followed by a running head kick, Ray recovers to hit Mack with multiple clotheslines and a pop up knee strike. Mack escapes a suplex before eating an elbow strike from Ray, Mack then jumps on the back of Ray while applying a sleeper hold. Ray gets free and he nails Mack with a suplex, Mack leaves the ring and Ray hits him with a series of suicide dives. Ray gets Mack back in the ring to get a near fall on a pin attempt, Mack shocks Ray with a few roll ups for a few near falls. Ray recovers to hit Mack with a pop up back breaker followed by a sit out power bomb for a near fall, Ray goes to the top rope before missing a 450 splash.

Mack then hits Ray with a spinning head kick for a near fall, Mack then misses a phoenix 630 splash and Ray gets a near fall. Mack catches Ray in a roll up from out of nowhere for a three count.

Winner: Ninja Mack

Tony Deppen vs. Nick Wayne

The match begins with a test of strength that goes nowhere, Deppen gets Wayne down momentarily while pulling back on his arms. Deppen gets Wayne down again while applying a body scissors to him, Wayne gets free and he works over the ankles of Deppen. Deppen looks for a headlock and Wayne counters with some wrist locks, Deppen gets free and he drops Wayne with a shoulder tackle. Wayne recovers to hit Deppen with a head scissors followed by a drop kick, Deppen leaves the ring and he taunts the fans while Wayne fakes a suicide dive attempt. Deppen returns to the ring and he cracks Wayne with a knee strike, Deppen drops Wayne in the corner before landing a double knee strike. Wayne leaves the ring and Deppen follows him out there before landing some chops, Deppen then tosses Wayne back in the ring before going for a pin attempt. Deppen goes for a suplex and Wayne counters with a roll up and a few strikes, Deppen recovers to get Wayne in a backpack rings of Saturn. Deppen releases the hold before wrenching away on both of his arms, Wayne fights back and he nails Deppen with an enziguri followed by a handspring cutter and fisherman suplex for a near fall.

Deppen recovers and he nails a charging Wayne with a knee strike followed by a knee drop, Deppen corners Wayne before hitting him with an enziguri. Wayne fights back and he again nails Deppen with an enziguri, Wayne then hits Deppen with a dragon suplex and a code red for a near fall. Wayne goes for the Clout Cutter and Deppen counters with a chicken wing, Wayne gets free to get a knee strike followed by a corner knee strike. Deppen then hits Wayne with a sit out power bomb for a near fall, Deppen follows up with a modified rings of Saturn until Wayne gets to the ropes. Deppen misses a knee strike and Wayne rolls him up before landing a super kick, Deppen and Wayne exchange some big shots until Deppen drops Wayne with a headbutt for a near fall. Deppen and Wayne go to the ring apron and they trade more strikes, Deppen ends the exchange by hitting Wayne with a suplex on the ring apron. Deppen gets back in the ring and Wayne follows him in there before they trade more strikes, Deppen snot rockets Wayne and Wayne rolls him up for a near fall. 

Deppen then hits Wayne with a knee strike, Deppen goes for a destroyer and Wayne avoids it before getting caught in a triangle choke. Wayne eventually gets to the ropes to break the submission attempt, Deppen misses a back stabber and Wayne rolls him up for a near fall. Wayne then hits Deppen with a dragon suplex followed by a standing Spanish fly, Deppen leaves the ring and he eats a suicide dive from Wayne. Wayne gets Deppen in the ring to land a Clout Cutter for a three count.

Winner: Nick Wayne

Joey Janela vs. Davey Richards

The match begins with Richards working over the arm of Janela, Janela gets free and he does the same to Richards. Richards gets out of his predicament by kicking Janela in the arm, Richards trips up Janela before twisting away on his ankle. Richards gets Rochards now again while attacking his hand, Richards gets free and he nails Janela with a knee drop. Richards gets Janela out of the ring before attacking him with some kicks, Janela blocks a kick and he lands his own shots on Richards. Janela gets Richards back in the ring and Richards takes him down with a Fujiwara Armbar, Richards then traps one of Janela’s arms while stomping on the other arm. Richards drops Janela again and he stomps on the arm again, Richards follows up by nailing Janela with a back suplex. Richards keeps Janela down while wrenching away on his injured arm, Janela stands up and Richards lands some strikes on his hurt arm. Janela fights back and Richards kicks him in the head when he goes to the top rope, Richards climbs the ropes and he nails Janela with headbutts.

Richards follows up on that by nailing Janela with a superplex, both competitors get back up and they trade some strikes until Janela goes down. Janela fights back and he sends a charging Richards out of the ring before landing a suicide dive, Janela gets Richards in the ring before landing a series of elbow strikes followed by a death valley driver for a near fall. Richards avoids a charging Janela before landing a rope assisted dragon screw leg whip, Richards goes to the top rope and he misses a double stomp attempt. Richards recovers and he manages to get Janela in the trailer hitch, Janela eventually gets to the ropes to break the hold. Janela gets up and he exchanges more strikes with Richards, Janela ends that exchange by nailing Richards with a release German suplex. Richards recovers and he hits Janela with a release German suplex followed by a clothesline, Janela escapes the grasp of Richards to land a brain buster for a near fall. Richards and Janela meet on the ring apron and Janela lands some shots on Richards, Janela picks Richards up and Richards fights back by landing a series of kicks. 

Richards follows up by nailing Janela with an exploder suplex on the ring apron, Richards gets Janela in the ring before landing a top rope double stomp for a near fall. Richards immediately applies an ankle lock to Janela and he releases it to land a penalty kick, Richards then hits Janela with multiple head kicks. Richards goes for a brain buster and Janela counters with a small package for a near fall, Richards goes for the ankle lock and Janela counters with another roll up for a near fall. Janela collapses from the pain before Richards lands another brain buster for a near fall, Janela flips Richards off and Richards nails him with a head kick. Richards then hits Janela with a Gotch Style Piledriver for a three count.

Winner: Davey Richards

After the match, Davey Richards gets the microphone and he says that GCW is becoming a cultural phenomenon. Richards talks about how GCW is building the next generation of wrestlers, Richards thanks Joey Janela and GCW for coming to St. Louis. 

Jordan Oliver vs. Dark Sheik

The match begins with Sheik working over the arm of Oliver, Oliver gets free and he exchanges some roll ups and arm drags with Sheik. Sheik arm drags Oliver out of the ring before landing a dive from the top rope, Sheik gets Oliver in the ring before landing a guillotine leg drop from the top rope. Sheik follows up by trading some strikes with Oliver, Sheik goes for a sliced bread and Oliver drops her with a chop followed by some kicks in the corner. Sheik avoids a leap from Oliver before rolling him up and landing a head kick, Sheik then hits Oliver with a German suplex for a near fall. Sheik and Oliver go through a series of reversals until Oliver propels Sheik out of the ring, Oliver then hits Sheik with a drop kick through the ropes followed by a moonsault. Oliver gets Sheik back in the ring and he looks for a pile driver before just opting to land strikes instead, Oliver goes for a sit out power bomb and Sheik counters with a DDT for a near fall. Oliver fights back and he nails Sheik with a super kick, Oliver then hits Sheik with a sit out power bomb for a near fall. 

Oliver sets up for something and Sheik grabs his leg, Oliver cracks Sheik with a few strikes before going for a Clout Cutter. Sheik meets him on the ropes and she takes Oliver down for a near fall, Oliver goes to the ring apron and Sheik meets him out there. Sheik eventually cracks Oliver with a super kick followed by a sliced bread on the ring apron, Sheik gets Oliver in the ring before landing a pedigree for a near fall. Sheik goes to the top rope and Oliver meets her up there before landing a super cutter and mafia kick for a near fall, Oliver then hits Sheik with a head kick and modified Angle Slam for a three count.

Winner: Jordan Oliver

Effy vs. Delirious

The match begins with Delirious going insane once the bell rings, Effy gets the microphone and he talks about how excited he is to face Delirious. Effy says he wants the best version of Delirious and Delirious gets the microphone to say a bunch of things nobody can understand, Effy stops Delirious from talking and Delirious bites his finger. Effy fights back and he nails a charging Delirious with a slap, Delirious gets Effy in a headlock and Effy gets free to go face to face with Delirious’ junk. Delirious drops down as well and he nails Effy with a headbutt, Delirious misses a charge in the corner before Effy nails him with a pump kick to the face. Effy follows up by choking Delirious in the corner, Effy follows up by locking Delirious in the tarantula lock. Delirious recovers and he propels a charging Effy to the arena floor, Delirious leaves the ring and he takes turns sitting on a fan’s lap. Delirious then hits Effy with a pair of atomic drops, Effy gets back in the ring and he boots a charging Delirious in the face.

Effy goes for a middle rope sunset flip and Delirious counters by landing a bunch of strikes, Delirious chops Effy a few times before biting his fingers again. Delirious follows up by hitting Effy with a missile drop kick and a neck breaker for a near fall, Delirious holds Effy down while landing some elbow strikes. Delirious follows up by getting Effy in a standing arm triangle choke, Effy gets free by stomping on the feet of Delirious. Effy then hits Delirious with a northern lights suplex for a near fall, Effy follows up by hitting Delirious with a seated senton and back clothesline for more near falls. Delirious recovers and he nails Effy with a leaping clothesline, Delirious then hits Effy with a slam and multiple leg drops. Effy fights back and he nails Delirious with a blockbuster, Effy goes for the Sack Rider and Delirious counters by landing a knee strike. Delirious then hits Effy with Shadows Over Hell for a near fall, Effy catches Delirious in a roll up before exchanging some chops with him.

Effy ends the exchange by hitting Delirious with a TKO, Effy then locks Delirious in the dragon sleeper to force a tap out.

Winner: Effy

Jimmy Lloyd, Ciclope & Miedo Extremo vs. Second Gear Crew (Matthew Justice, Mance Warner & 1 Called Manders)

The match begins with an all out brawl between everybody in the match, Lloyd propels Justice out of the ring before nailing him with a suicide dive. Extremo and Ciclope hit Warner with a variety of super kicks, Extremo traps Manders while Ciclope nails him with a top rope double stomp for a near fall. Extremo and Justice take turns stomping each other, Warner steals Ciclope’s headphones while landing some strikes, Manders finds a door and the rest of his crew finds doors as well. Justice and Warner hit Extremo with a door before Ciclope drop kicks the door into them, Justice and Warner return to hit a charging Ciclope with a door. Warner finds a piece of wood and he stabs Extremo with it, Lloyd grabs a chair and he throws it at the head of Manders. Justice grabs a door and he hits Extremo with it, Warner finds a few chairs and he throws them at Lloyd. Manders finds some chairs and he also throws them at Lloyd, Manders and Justice set up a door onto some chairs. Justice grabs a door and he hits Extremo with it, Lloyd stabs Manders with a piece of broken wood.

Manders and Warner put Lloyd and Extremo between some doors while Justice climbs to the second floor of the building, Ciclope hits Justice from behind and he falls off the balcony and he goes through the set up doors on the arena floor. A bunch of people are brawling on the arena floor and Ciclope leaps off the balcony onto everyone, Ciclope gets Warner in the ring while everybody else is still in the crowd, a pane of glass is brought into the ring and Ciclope sets it up in the corner. Warner fights back against Ciclope and he drops him with a bionic elbow, Lloyd returns to hit Warner with a tombstone pile driver for a near fall. Manders hits Lloyd with a pile driver before landing a clothesline on Extremo, a bunch of wrestlers hit splashes that involve light tubes. Manders slams Extremo through the pane of glass for a near fall, Ciclope returns and he hangs Manders with his bullrope. Warner and Justice then hit Ciclope with a series of chair shots, Lloyd returns with a chair and he winds up eating multiple chair shots. Warner and Justice slam Ciclope through some doors on the arena floor, Warner buries Lloyd under some chairs while Justice lands a top rope splash for a three count.

Winners: Second Gear Crew (Matthew Justice, Mance Warner & 1 Called Manders)

GCW Ultraviolent Championship: Light Tubes, Doors & Chairs Deathmatch - Alex Colon (c) vs. Cole Radrick

The match begins with some chain wrestling between Radrick and Colon, Colon drops Radrick with a hip toss. Radrick fights back and he sends a charging Colon out of the ring, Colon gets back in the ring and each competitor grabs some light tubes. Radrick breaks his tube over the knee of Colon, Radrick misses a swanton bomb and Colon nails him with multiple tubes. Colon breaks a light tube before slicing Radrick’s forehead with it, Radrick fights back and he trades strikes with Colon. Colon rakes the eyes of Radrick before cornering him and landing some strikes, Colon grabs a saw and he slices a leaping Radrick in the midsection with it. Colon hits Radrick in the head with the saw before slicing his head with it, Colon also slices the arm of Radrick with the saw. Radrick blocks the next saw attempt and he gets a near fall after rolling up Colon, Colon recovers and he throws Radrick into multiple light tubes. Radrick fights back and he nails Colon with a clothesline, Radrick hits Colon with a spear into some light tubes. Colon leaves the ring and Radrick nails him with a suicide dive, Colon returns and he nails Radrick with a light tube assisted suicide dive.

Radrick returns before leaping off Colon and they both go through a door, Radrick gets Colon back in the ring before landing a top rope elbow drop for a near fall. Colon gets up and he knocks Radrick off the ring apron and through a door, Colon grabs broken pieces of the door and he hits Radrick with them. Colon looks for a death valley driver on the ring apron and Radrick gets back in the ring, Radrick meets Colon on the top rope and he lands a super Angle Slam through light tubes for a near fall. Radrick and Colon have a striking exchange in the middle of the ring, Radrick and Colon also take turns breaking light tubes on their heads. Radrick punches a light tube into the face of Colon, Colon responds by drop kicking Radrick through a light tube. Radrick grabs a light tube and he breaks it over the back of Radrick’s head, Colon corners Radrick before breaking a bunch of light tubes over him with a running double knee strike for a near fall. Radrick fights back and Colon meets him on the top rope, Colon nails Radrick with a one man Spanish fly through light tubes for a near fall.

Radrick and Colon have another striking exchange in the middle of the ring, Radrick then hits Colon with a springboard stunner followed by a springboard monsault for a near fall. Radrick grabs some light tubes and he breaks them over the back of Colon, Colon catches a leaping Radrick to land a tombstone piledriver. Colon then hits Radrick with a piledriver onto some light tubes for a three count.

Winner: Alex Colon, still your GCW Ultraviolent Champion
