Wrestling Open Week 26 “Summer Stunner”

We celebrate the end of our 6th month, that is 26 consecutive weekly cards in Worcester with Wrestling Open’s first special show! Summer Stunner! It’s an absolutely stacked card tonight! We have a 6-way doors match for a match against ANYONE at Wrestling Open. We have a Platinum Max 10k challenge for Dan Barry! We have a clash of undefeated records, as Ray Jaz squares off against Shook Crew’s Bryce Donovan! But first, our Spotlight match!

Spotlight Match: Landon Hale vs Lucifer L

Lucifer looks like Bruiser Brody had a baby with the final opponent at the end of Jean Claude Van Damme’s “The Quest” (I’m sorry I love that movie more than Bloodsport). Anyways, Lucifer beats the f*** out of Hale. He’s snarling. He has an annoying terrible whistle thing. He is brutal though. Hale slapped in the face and firing up, Lucifer blasts a Samoan drop for two. Hale with a high cross body! Jawbreaker! Blue Thunder Bomb! Double throat chop and a superkick. He squawks that horrible demon call again but Hale blasts him in the face with a knee and hits a Michanoku driver for the win! Thank god!

Winner: Landon Hale

And we’re liiiiiiive on IWTV! Paul Crockett and Drew Cordeiro are your commentators! Rich Palladino is your announcer! Powerglove is blaring over the speakers! Let’s goooooooo!!!!!

Match 1: Brick City Boyz (JCruz & Victor Chase) vs The Wild Dogs (Johnny Rivera & Ray Pittman) (Saturn & Kronus Eliminator Cup Opening Round)

Now look, I was hoping for a Wild Dogs Cinderella story but I don’t see them getting past Brick City…OR CAN THEY? Cruz in the lockup and powers Pittman into the corner. Pittman firing up with chops but Cruz blasts him over with a clothesline. Pittman with armdrags, Rivera in for. Combo body slam. Brick City powders and Chase goes to work on Rivera. Hard German and stomps to the wild dog. Brick Coty takes Rivera to Split City. Cruz stomping and choking Johnny out in the corner. Northern lariat for two. Rivera fires up, double clothesline, double down. He makes the crawl…tag to Pittman! Ray runs wild on Chase but can’t finish the job. Belly to belly to Cruz. Johnny sends him out! Pittman dropkicks the ankle…wild Dogs with a wheelbarrow bulldog! This is it! Cruz makes the save! Nooooo! Rivera spears Cruz off the apron! Wild Dogs go for a hart attack, Cruz pulls Pittman out and levels him. They hit the bricks on Rivera to advance to the quarterfinals!

Winners: Brick City Boyz

Match 2: 50 Cal vs CPA

Can you claim twisted steel and sex appeal on your taxes as assets? Head to head these two are ripping off shirt after shirt at each other! Right into a fist fist, Cal armdrags CPA right out of the ring! CPA accidentally hits a 180 inverted boot to the face! Double clothesline! Cal firing up with forearms and a German bridge for two! He tries a deadlift German…CPA rolls through! He rips off his final shirt to reveal a 50 Cal style half shirt underneath! He hits Form 619! He wants to crunch some numbers but 50 rocks him on the top and Germans him down for the pin!

Winner: 50 Cal

Match 3: The Church of Greatness (Brother Greatness & Jay Heru) vs The Mane Event (Midas Black & Jay Lyon)

Greatness is none to happy with Jay Heru trying to get his taunt in. The crowd is more than happy to cheer Jay on to frustrate BG. Midas tries to donate Lyon’s steak to the church but Greatness throws it at Heru, who steals all the money out of the collection basket. Ring the bell and Mane Event runs over Brother Greatness. Heru in but Lyon is making short work of him too.  Hangman’s leapfrog from Mane event! “HERU! DO BETTER!” yells Brother Greatness. BG grabs Lyon from behind, they work him over in the corner. They trade tags and pummel Lyon,  legally and otherwise. Heru with a kick to the side of the head for two. Lyon makes the tag, Midas throwing hands, caught in a cross body! Roll through, top rope leg drop! Greatness tags in! Codebreaker to Lyon! Heru with a running knee and big boot to Midas! He goes for the finish, Greatness tags in. Heru is furious. Midas held back but Hero accidentally blasts Brother Greatness! Lyon spear to Heru! Mane Event gives Brother Greatness the Grand Finale! 

Winners: Mane Event

Brother Greatness is furious! “it’s my time to shine!” Say Heru as Greatness runs him out of the room. Rex Lawless is out here for his match. Steven Stetson comes next  and says that Rex decided to interfere with his business? He’s getting a whole piece. A whole piece of…

Match 4: Rex Lawless vs Brett Ryan Gosling (w/ his trusty steed Clip-Clop)

Stetson heads to commentary to talk ranch stuff with Crockett. BRG putting his finger in Rex’s chest. Bad idea. BRG goes flying. Boot to the face, slingshot senton from Rex! BRG with a solid right and a double axe handle! And another. And another. Rex finally catches him in the gut, series of clotheslines, fallaway slam! Rex catches BRG in the choke but he slips out of the finish. Superkick to Lawless! He tries to ride Rex like a horse. Uh oh. He goes flying off. Chokebomb connects and BRG is DONE. Stetson makes like he’ll start someone but he won’t.

Winner: Rex Lawless

Match 5: “Platinum” Max Caster vs Dan Barry (Platinum 10k Challenge)

Will Dan Barry be the first person to last ten minutes with (or…gasp…BEAT) Max Caster? If he can, ten thousand dollars will be his. Dan goes right for the back slide and almost catches the kid right away. Dan wrestles Max down, traps the arms and almost gets the pin again! Caster tries rolling Barry up but he has reversals for all of this and Max needs to take a breath on the outside. Caster speeds it up, Dan with an up and over but it looks like his knee is tweaked. Max focuses on, dragon screw and a knee breaker. Max goes for a figure four, Dan with a rollup for two but that knee is a FACTOR. Max tries to fight Barry off the top but slingshot rana’d back to earth. Heavy clotheslines and a cutter from Dan for two! Barry with a bridge roll up. The closest two count! Max runs for cover, Dan Barry dives! Whiff on a swanton as we hit the 7 minute mark. Max puts on the figure four and Dan Barry’s knee gives up before he taps out.

Winner: Max Caster

Match 6: Miracle Generation (Dustin Waller & Kylon King) vs The Haven (Shawn Knyte & Jay Onyx) (Saturn & Kronus Eliminator Cup Opening Round)

Former partners, now tournament rivals! They shake on it at the bell before Knyte and Waller kick this off. Fast paced open, Waller has a chance at an early kill shot and hesitates. Knyte with the rollup and they scramble to the tag. Onys and King work an equally frantic pace. King chooses to ruffle Onyx’s hair and he gets the life slapped out of him. The Haven wants this fight and Miracle Generation finally gives it to them. They unload the clip on Knyte, who dodges the wheelbarrow splash. Waller blasted with a pumphandle backbreaker/German combo for two. Waller dodges the pop up corkscrew and King in to just LEVEL Onyx with throws. Trading slaps! Dragon suplex to Onyx! Jesus what a landing. Miracle Generation using a distracted ref for leverage as Knyte protests. Tag in! Slingshot back elbow! High cross body to King! Slingshot tornado ddt! Waller with a destroyer to break a powerbomb pin! Superkick to Knyte! Miracle with the blockbuster German! Knyte off the top to break it up! This match is wiiiiiild and the crowd is here for it! Waller and Knyte square off again and know trade some hard forearms. Waller with the superkick! Knyte catapults Waller into a chicken wing piledriver! Kylon crossbodies off the top to break it up! We’ve just crossed the ten minute mark, making this the most epic tournament match so far! King eats a double knee! Doomsday Device!!! Kylon kicks out?!?!? Crowd pops hard for this false finish. They try again but Waller in with a knee to Onyx. Fly out to the floor! Power plex to Knyte!!! That does it! Holy f*** this was fantastic!

Match 7: Brad Hollister vs Gary Jay vs Bobby Orlando vs Fancy Ryan Clancy vs Pedro Dones vs Tyree Taylor (Opportunity Knocks: The Open Door War)

It’s an elimination match. If you go through a door, you’re out. Last man standing wins a contract for any match on Wrestling Open at any time! Opportunity Knocks! Bacon is laughing at Tyree but he backs right out of the ring as the big boy gets in. Tyree gets the first shot in and exits Bacon and everyone realizes what a threat he is. Gang up on Tyree and he’s sent to the floor. Bacon is upset about Tyree punching him so he goes to commentary to yell about it before taking a seat in the crowd. He sets up a door on chairs while Bobby wipes out Dones with a sick trick cutter. Bobby has a door! Set up in the corner! Orlando goes for a Samoan drop but Hollister Germans then both! Clancy with a snap powerbomb to bacon! Gary Jay comes flying! Hard chop to Clancy! Tyree blasts a headbutt! Orlando tries a Bobby slam….he gets it!!! Wow! Cutter to Bacon! He whiffs the moonsault! Bacon with a one hand spine buster puts Orlando through a door propped in the corner. Bobby Orlando eliminated.

The crowd is very F*** YOU BACON right now. Tyree threatens to put him through his own door table. Clancy and Jay get in there but Hollister is dominating. Bacon goes for a suplex but Tyree reverses it and puts him on the apron. Tyree charges, knee to the face! Bacon and Tyree trading headbutts on the apron. They knock each other silly and fall through the door together! Brad Hollister and Tyree Taylor eliminated.

Pedro Dones hits a hard chop on Clancy. Gary Jay respects chops and helps Dones hit a suplex. They both go for doors, propped in the corner. They argue over which door to put Clancy through. Fancy fights back! Side Russian to Dones! Jay kicks out the knee! Jawbreaker from Clancy! High back drop to Jay and he goes through a door. Pedro Dones catches Fancy looking away and shoves Clancy through the other door! Really enjoyed this format!

Winner: Pedro Dones

Teddy Goodz is out here for his tag match but LMK is stuck in Flavortown. But he’s not in this fight alone, he called in a favor from someone who can RIP up the competition!

Match 8: Teddy Goodz & Rip Byson vs Hispanic Mechanics (Jos A & Jos B)

Well this is a delightful surprise of a match! The crowd serenades all of the competitors individually. Goodz and B do the Macarena! Rip and A square off, Rip doesn’t want to Macarena….so he tags out. Lol. The mechanics want to teach Rip the Macarena. Goodz gives him the bucket hat of power. A gives him cool cool shades. The crowd calls him sexy Rip. He does the Macarena! FIVE MINUTES HAVE ELAPSED! They trade roll ups. Rip says NOW WE’RE FIGHTING NOW YOU DIE! Mechanics keep Rip down but Goodz reverses a crossbody on B and rolls Him up for the win! The Mechanics are sad so Goodz and Rip give them bucket hats and they have a dance party to “Summertime”. This was magical.

Winners: Goodz & Byson

Rich Palladino announces that we have broken the attendance record!!! It’s main event time! Undefeated vs Undefeated! Everyone hates Ray Jaz. Can Bryce Donovan give us the thing we have been WAITING FOR these past six months? Can we finally see a vanquished Ray Jaz? Will he be SHOOK?

Main Event: “The Shore Thing” Ray Jaz vs Bryce Donovan 

Bryce offers the division one athlete his leg. Jaz doesn’t take the bait….and takes Bryce down instead. The crowd compares Jaz to excrement, like one does. High jumping elbow drop from Bryce. Jaz leta him gloat before head butting  him right in the gut. Facebuster plants Jaz! Clothesline over the top, Jaz is ready for a dive but Bryce throws a shirt at him. Jaz tries to walk out, Bryce comes after him but it’s a trap. Jaz rams him into the apron. Jaz tries a suplex but Bryce kicks him into a tree of woe…dropkick! Kick out! Bryce tries the black hole slam, Jaz holds on tight. Jaz looks like he’s gonna slingshot, he slips off the ropes but rolls th rough into a spine buster and Kip up. Heavy clothesline In the corner! Bryce throwing hands, Jaz guts him with a knee. Back and forth they go as the crowd finds new and creative ways to jeer Ray Jaz. Bryce flying off the top drops Jaz, double down. Trading blows as they get to their feet. Donovan blasts a series of clotheslines. Black hole slam connects! He goes for an anaconda Vice! Jaz bucks free! Bryce dodges a clothesline, double underhook ddt for two! Jaz rakes the eyes, big lariat for two! Jaz going for the cradle bomb…Bryce transitions to an ace crusher! Jaz in a electric chair, He escapes the one winged Angel. Ref collision, Jaz hits a low blow. Cradle bomb! Bryce kicks out! Jaz is flustered. Bryce with a flurry! Jaz runs into another black hole slam. Anaconda Vice! Sidney Bakabella is out here all of a sudden with Bobby Jr?!? The ref turns to deal with Sidney as Jaz taps out! Bryce releases the hold, Jaz pops up with the backslide pin and the ref counts the three! Great main event (even if Ray f***ing Jaz is still undefeated)

Winner: Ray Jaz

Bryce is furious and tries to throw Bakabella out the fire door. Channing Thomas is waiting to ambush him! Bryce taking a beatdown. Thomas hits a codebreaker and the piledriver to lay out Donovan. Our summer is stunned in a world class manner. The crowd is booing as they shake hands. Bakabella says “This is my goat now!”

Brother greatness is back out here to call us heathens and miscreants. 50 Cal comes out to immediately confront him. Greatness wants a chat, 50 Cal gives him a stunner! That’s it for Summer Stunner!!!

DC is out here! We set an attendance record so it’s time for a raffle! We not only broke the attendance record, but we beat the attendance of the first Beyond Americanrana! 258 is the number to beat! DC is in full excitement mode, getting the crowd hyped to tell their friends. He promises that Americanrana will have a piece of Wrestling Open as well!!!
