Disney Channel has released the first episode of their Lucha inspired superhero series Ultra Violet and Black Scorpion on YouTube
The series had its official premiere on Disney Channel last night airing two episodes.
Ultra Violet & Black Scorpion has the following plot - "When a mysterious luchador mask chooses Violet played by Scarlett, she becomes superhero Ultra Violet. Eager to become famous, Violet sets out on a mission to collab with the city's famous vigilante superhero, Black Scorpion"
Scarlett Estevez plays the title role of Violet/Ultraviolet probably best known for her role on the Disney Channel show "Bunk'd" and as the role of "Trixie" on Lucifer
"Cruz de la Vega/Black Scorpion" is played by veteran TV and film actor J.R. Villarreal, who has had many different critically acclaimed film and television roles.
The series, which was originally titled Ultra Violet and Blue Demon, featuring former NWA Worlds' Champion and Lucha star Blue Demon Jr. as her uncle/mentor, but during the development process, Blue Demon dropped out and the character Black Scorpion was created.
The series was shot in New Orleans last year.
