WHAT IF KHAN AND MJF WERE WORKING, WAS DON TOO LONG, HAS AEW BLOCKED VPN USE AND MORE

If you count the buy in match, Double Or Nothing was almost six hours long.  Isn’t that way too long for a PPV?

It depends I guess.  If you look at it from a value standpoint, you got 13 matches for $50 and that is great value for your money.  If you look at it from an old guy like me’s standpoint, I have to break it up over two days.  I just don’t have it in me anymore to watch anything from 7 p.m. to 1:30 in the morning.  So what I do is watch half the night of, half the next morning.  That works for me.  I may get thing spoiled but that’s OK.

What if MJF and Tony Khan were working people to get more buys for the PPV?

I don’t think there is any way that they were, but let’s play what if.  How would MJF “threatening to not show up” help get people to pay $50 to buy a show?  I think it would do the exact opposite.  If that is the match you wanted to see, would you pay to maybe not see it?  The story is good for sites like ours, our traffic was huge, but I don’t see any upside in it for MJF and Khan.

Has FITE stopped people from using VPNs to buy PPVs?

A number of readers told me that when they tried to VPN yesterday, FITE blocked it and they couldn’t get the international price.  I can’t say that they have blocked everyone because I don’t know that for a fact but they have definitely blocked at least some VPN services.

Freddie Prinze Jr. mentioned on a recent podcast of his that he thinks once WWE is sold, the door would be open for all the wrestlers to walk out and demand that they become unionized.  Again, what are your thoughts on this actually happening or not, assuming WWE does get sold?

If WWE gets sold, it will be to a huge company.  They tend to not like unions.  But even if they were bought by a union friendly company, wrestlers have shown for decades that as a group they tend to look out for themselves first.  Will there be some who will try walking out?  Maybe.  Will there be others who look at that as a way to get a bigger push for themselves and undermine the people trying to unionize?  Most probably.

I saw this meme where Smithers from “The Simpson” is showing off his collection of dolls with a caption saying “millennial culture is spending what little money you have on nerd stuff that makes you happy as the world falls apart around you.”  Does that sum up the “key demo” and shows how AEW makes its money?

Not to me.  AEW chases the demo because that is what the Network wants.  It's the exact opposite of waste to me.  It's smart.  People spend on what they want.  If they don’t see the world falling apart then it’s not, at least to them.  Spend however you want.  It’s your money.
