ONE MORE REASON TO FEAR BROCK LESNAR & MORE POST-SHOW WWE ELIMINATION CHAMBER PPV NOTES

By Mike Johnson on 2022-02-19 16:10:00

Brock Lesnar smashed through a legitimate Elimination Chamber door to enter the EC match and we are told that was not a planned spot.  That is one scary man.

The Bobby Lashley angle was planned and while no one has told me this, it certainly looked to set up Lashley vs. Seth Rollins for Wrestlemania 38.

At one point this weekend, the discussed finish of the Women's Elimination Chamber bout was a double pin with Bianca Belair getting her shoulder up at the last second as a way to protect Alexa Bliss as it was her first official match back but the decision was later made to go with the KOD for the clean pinfall to make Bianca look stronger heading into her Wrestlemania 38 bout with Becky Lynch.

For those who wondered if the Usos vs. Viking Raiders angle was something done to cut time from the show, we are told the segment was always planned as an angle to set up a longer feud between the two.

There were quite a few people in the company blown away by the reception for Lita on the show.

Liv Morgan's ring gear was obviously a nod to the red outfit in Brittney Spears' Oops!...I Did It Again music video.

The live crowd in Jeddah was late arriving due to a traffic jam heading to the Jeddah Super Dome, which is why the early portion of the show looked much emptier.  As we noted, the show was sold out in advance but had a lot of social distancing in the crowd due to local regulations.  There were somewhere in the area of 15,000-20,000 there.

The Elimination Chamber PPV went off the air a few minutes earlier than planned but the show pretty much ran on schedule.
