THE RETURN OF DREW, KOFI'S ELIMINATION, XAVIER AND MORE ROYAL RUMBLE PPV NOTES

By Mike Johnson on 2022-01-30 13:41:00

Drew McIntyre arrived extremely late into the Royal Rumble PPV to hide his return.  We are told that since the Stadium was so massive that there were some in the company who had no idea he was even there until he arrived in the Gorilla position for the Men's Rumble match.

The Kofi Kingston elimination last night was, as you probably guessed, completely legitimate and accidental as gravity decided not to work with him.

One person involved with the show last night noted that Men's Rumble match plans changed "literally 20 times" over the course of the day prior to and during the PPV.

Xavier Woods was backstage at the PPV but did not appear before the crowd.

WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle was backstage at the Rumble PPV.  Angle filmed content for the WWE Network over the course of the weekend.

Obviously, The Undertaker was also backstage.

The official announced attendance for last night's Rumble PPV was 44,390.

There were a lot of talents signing trading cards and also working on video game related content backstage before the show.

IWA Mid-South owner and former ECW star Ian Rotten and Miranda Gordy, the daughter of WWE Hall of Famer Terry Gordy, were in attendance at the PPV last night.

Bad Bunny's appearance at the Rumble last night was picked up by Rolling Stone.
