There wasn’t much to talk about on the pre-game show, other than Jerry Lawler using Rudy Guiliani’s hair dye. I am not an appearance guy but I will say this, if you are going to color your hair, color it with something that at least looks kind of real.
We are opening with Roman Reigns defending his Title against Seth Rollins. The champ came out first. The challenger came out to the Shield theme, through the crowd in Shield gear. He’s the Joker so he dressed like Batman. Or something like that I guess. Actually, it was a good touch, unlike the stuff that they usually have Rollins do. The fans are cheering for Rollins more than Reigns. OK, whatever. Rollins is in control early and the fans are popping for it. I guess they like the outfit.
Rollins is in control early. He is whooping Reigns. I mean badly, He stomped him and got a two. What am I watching? What is there to like about Seth? Well, the people in St. Louis know something I don’t because as Roman came back, he got booed. He got a two on the powerbomb. I guess in a battle of the heels they will root for the outfit they used to like. I guess I can’t blame them when the company doesn’t give the fans someone to root for so they go into business for themselves. Roman is in control now. St. Louis isn booing him. He hit a Superman for two.
Reigns hit a spear on the floor. He wants acknowledgement. He went for the Spear and Seth hit a Pedigree instead for a two. These guys are working super hard. The fans are chanting it’s awesome.
Seth got laid out. He told Roman he loved him and asked for a fist bump. The face just acted like a heel. Roman, the heel, didn’t but it, and locked on a choke. You know, which a face would do. Roman had him done when Charles Robinson grabbed Rollins’ arm to check if he was OK and dropped it on the rope. Then he told Roman to break. He wouldn’t and he got disqualified. The fans are booing. They hate the guy who acted like a babyface and like the guy that didn’t. Roman went out and got a chair. He hit Seth in the back repeatedly. The fans are booing him. Roman destroyed him with the chair and finally left. Well, at least he finally did something to earn the boos. Roman retains. The work was strong, of course. The fans there liked the booking I guess. It made me scratch my head. Seth was more heel than Roman, but he had the cool outfit on I guess.
We have the Raw announce team now. During the commercials they didn’t fix their table so they get to call the Women’s match for 1,000 minutes standing up. Sasha Banks is out first. She can be the 60 minute woman! She is wearing Red, White and Blue. Number two, which is the same as number 1, is Melina. I don’t think she has the same chance of going 60 minutes. I could be wrong.
Melina is crying. She seems really happy to be there. That’s cool. Well it was. She got eliminated almost immediately. Maybe that is why she was crying. Tamina is out next. Kelly Kelly is out next. She used to be a sex addict on WWECW. She can go back to that because he is already out by Sasha. Aliyah is in. Then Liv Morgan. She beat on some women and pointed to the Mania sign. INSIPID. Hope she gets tossed for that. Zelina Vega is next. The ring is filling up. Zelina just knocked out Banks. No one will go the distance in this one.
Bianca Belair just came in at 8. She can be the one to go long now. Dana Brooke is out, with Reggie, No Title belt. I guess the minions won’t be out. Michelle McTaker is out next. She kicked Dana off of the apron but Reggie caught her. Michael is cleaning house and eliminated Dana. She is the new 24-7 Champion! Nah, she doesn’t want it. The crowd is live for this. I will give them that. Sonya DeVille is next. They aren’t live for her. She kept her jacket on so she is not a wrestler yet. She will go in when she wants to. She joined the announcers. They have a table and chairs now!
