Ring of Honor announced the following:
This weekend’s special episode of Ring of Honor Wrestling features the epic match between the Briscoes and The OGK (Matt Taven and Mike Bennett) for the ROH World Tag Team Championship from the Final Battle: End of an Era pay-per-view last month.
Voted the 2021 ROH Match of the Year, the Briscoes-OGK showdown had the fans at the Chesapeake Employers Insurance Arena in Baltimore on their feet chanting for the two superstar teams to “fight forever!”
There’s plenty of history between the Briscoes and OGK. Throughout 2014 and 2015, Taven and Bennett -- then known as The Kingdom -- and the Briscoes battled numerous times and traded victories.
Both teams headed into Final Battle at the top of their game and determined to end this era of ROH as the tag team champions.
The Briscoes went into the match as the challengers, looking to break their own record by winning the ROH World Tag Team Championship for the 12th time.
The OGK had won the title at Honor for All in November to become two-time champions. It was a long journey back to the top for Taven and Bennett, whose previous reign was in 2015.
