SHOULD AEW RUN IN THE MANIA MARKET, WHY TAMMY SYTCH KEEPS GETTING MORE CHANCES, MLW VS. WWE AND MORE

What are your thoughts on Jim Herd?

He was someone who should have never been in charge of a wrestling promotion.  He was a Turner suit that didn’t understand the business and shouldn’t have been given the opportunity to run WCW.

I read that the MLW filing against WWE states that WWE has input on the stories done on Dark Side of the Ring.  Have you ever heard that before?  And if WWE did have input, why would they have picked any of the topics that aired?

I have not heard that and I don’t believe that WWE appreciates the shows that Vice puts on.  Why would they?  They are all focused on the underbelly of the business.

Regarding Tammy Sytch: Why do courts keep letting her go? It seems like every month I'm reading on your site about her being arrested/charged. At some point, someone somewhere has to have the brain/heart to realize she is a threat to herself and the community. I know it's hard to help someone that refuses to help themself, but that's why we have the legal system, no? It feels like the legal system is failing her. At this point, I see the Tammy Sytch "story" having a tragic ending.

The problem is she doesn’t do anything heinous enough to get locked away forever.  So, she does her time, gets out, and then does something else to get arrested again.  She is a sad individual but you hit the nail on the head, until she wants to help herself become a better person, she will continue to live the live she lives.

I wasn't an "insider" fan at the time due to my age, but at what point did Vince take WCW seriously as a competitor? And what will AEW need to do to be seen as a competitor,  or have they already done it, with Vince being completely oblivious?

I would say right around the time he told Bret Hart to call Eric Bischoff and ask him if the offer that WCW made was still on the table.  He knew then that the WWF was falling behind.  I think it would take the same kind of scenario for him to truly acknowledge AEW as a threat.  That won’t be happening for at least two plus years, as long as he has the Raw and Smackdown TV deal money coming in.

Would it be beneficial or detrimental to AEW if they ran a show or more in the same city as Wrestlemania?

I can’t say it would be either but me personally, I wouldn’t do it.  The message when a company runs in the same area as Mania is that they are trying to get some of the fans in town for the big show to come and see theirs.  It makes sense for smaller companies to do that as it’s a way to draw a better than normal house.  If I am Tony Khan, I approach it like we are not a smaller company and we don’t need to poach WWE fans for one house.
