QUEBEC COVID-19 SHUTDOWN ORDERED, WWE EVENT NEXT WEEK UP IN THE AIR

By Mike Johnson on 2021-12-20 15:24:00

The Quebec government in Canada officially ordered a shut-down as of 5 PM local time tonight due to the new COVID-19 Omnicrom variant surge.  The shut-down includes the shuttering of all concert venues and all professional sports must be played without spectators.

Laval, Quebec is slated to host a WWE Holiday Tour event for the Raw brand on 11/30 at The Place Bell Arena, but given the shut-down, that event is obviously up in the air and honestly, not likely to take place on 12/30.   The Place Bell Arena has already announced that this Friday's Laval Rocket hockey game will be played with no fans in attendance.

Tickets to the WWE event are no longer available on Ticketmaster.ca.

PWInsider.com has reached out to WWE for clarification and will update if and when we hear back.

WWE is also slated to run Toronto, Ontario next week.  Tickets for that event are still currently on sale.

Thanks to Steve Gibson for his assistance.
