STING RETURNS TO GREENSBORO FOR FIRST MATCH IN DECADES, WINTER BASH ON CHRISTMAS NIGHT AND MORE AEW NOTES

AEW Dynamite will emanate from Greensboro, NC at the legendary Greensboro Coliseum this Wednesday.  This will be Sting's return to the venue that made him a star when he wrestled Ric Flair to a 45 minute draw on the first-ever Clash of Champions special on TBS.  This will also be Sting's first match in the city since a 1996 WCW house show where he also wrestled Flair.  Sting and Darby Allin will team for the first time ever with CM Punk vs MJF & FTR.

Also announced for Dynamite this Wednesday:

*AEW TBS Championship Semi-Final: Ruby Soho vs. Nyla Rose.

*Malakai Black vs. Griff Garrison.

*Orange Cassidy vs. Adam Cole.

*The Britt Baker & Tony Schiavone Christmas Party.

AEW President Tony Khan told Busted Open on SiriusXM that the company had acquired Owen Hart footage from New Japan Pro Wrestling and will using that content as part of additional details being released for the Owen Cup this Wednesday on Dynamite.

Due to TNT's annual marathon of A Christmas Story, this week's edition of AEW Rampage will air this Saturday 12/25 at 9 PM EST after the marathon ends.  That episode, branded AEW Winter Bash, will feature:

*AEW TNT Champion Sammy Guevara vs. Cody Rhodes.

*Hook vs. Bear Bronson.

AEW will be taping Dark on 12/28 at Daily's Place in Jacksonville, Florida.  Fans with tickets for the 12/29 New Year's Smash Dynamite taping in Jacksonville can attend for free.  The 12/29 taping will be the final Dynamite on TNT with the following week's episode from Newark, NJ being the debut episode on TBS.
