RING OF HONOR NEWS AND NOTES LEADING INTO THE FINAL BATTLE PPV NEXT WEEK & BEYOND

By Mike Johnson on 2021-12-02 09:42:00

A few notes on Ring of Honor as they head towards the 12/11 Final Battle - End of An Era PPV next weekend.

*For those who have asked, there are no TV tapings before or after the PPV.  Final Battle will be the final event for this incarnation of the company.

*The TV tapings that took place in November will include content that will run through Christmas week on ROH TV, so there are episodes that were taped for after the PPV.  From that point on, ROH will have to tap into their archival content.

*Matt Taven and Dalton Castle had been working as producers in recent months for the company and had been assisting with the women's division as well.

*There's been discussion within the company about paying tribute to the past on the PPV next week.

*Numerous sources have stated that ROH has already paid for their April 2022 venue in Dallas, Texas for Supercard of Honor over Wrestlemania 38 weekend.  Since all of the ROH talents will have been released by March 2022 at the latest, it should be interesting to see who ends up booked for that show and what the storylines leading into it could be.  The company is very much starting from scratch in a lot of ways if and when it resumes operations.

The official lineup thus far for the Saturday 12/11 Ring of Honor Final Battle PPV in Baltimore, Maryland at the UMBC Event Center, features:

*ROH Champion Bandido vs. Jonathan Gresham.

*ROH Tag Team Champions Mike Bennett & Matt Taven vs. The Briscoes.

*ROH Pure Champion Josh Woods vs. Brian Johnson.

*ROH TV Champion Dalton Castle vs. Rey Horus.

*ROH World Women's Champion Rok-C vs. Mandy Leon or Willow Nightingale (challenger to be determined on ROH TV).

*Shane Taylor vs. Kenny King.

*ROH Six Man Tag Team Champions Shane Taylor Promotions vs. Vincent & Bateman & Dutch.

Tickets for ROH Final Battle are on sale right now at Ticketmaster.com.

The show will broadcast on all traditional PPV channels as well as FITE.TV.
