WHERE LAST NIGHT'S RAW REFERENCES TO RELEASED TALENTS CAME FROM, NIA SITTING DOWN FOR FIRST POST-WWE INTERVIEW AND MORE

By Mike Johnson on 2021-11-30 15:28:00

We've received a number of emails asking about references made to recent WWE releases on last night's Monday Night Raw episode.  In speaking to several sources, we are told that Liv Morgan's line about her friends being released so Becky Lynch could have a big contract were likely from Vince McMahon or someone else on the creative team.   The line is not featured in the YouTube clip from the segment.

In regard to Edge's reference to John Morrison's release (and even his not so veiled reference to CM Punk's Miz mention on last week's AEW Dynamite), we are told Edge would have freedom in his promos and those were likely lines he came up with and decided to use to some additional edge and realism to his face off with The Miz, not something given to him by WWE creative.

The belief is Maryse's appearance last night was not a one-time deal.  One source noted that there was already some talk of potentially working Beth Phoenix into the Miz-Edge program at some point.

For those who have asked, there's no court date yet known on Seth Rollins' attacker in New York City.

The former Nia Jax will be appearing on Renee Paquette's podcast in the near future.
