THE AEW RAMPAGE REPORT

It is Friday, and our episode of Rampage was taped Wednesday in Chicago at the Wintrust Arena. Our commentary team is Taz, Excalibur, Ricky Starks, and Chris Jericho, and I heard they taped Dark before Dynamite, so this crowd has been there for at least three or four hours before this started, so let see if they are still as hot as they were for Dynamite.

Adam Cole and Bobby Fish vs Orange Cassidy and Wheeler Yuta

It's the battle for who are the best Best Friends, so the reason for this match is just as silly as the reason for almost any other Best Friends match.

Yuta and Fish start the match with Yuta goi9ng to take him down with an ankle grab. They go into the ropes and Fish takes out Yuta with strike., Yuta is able to get away and tags in Cassidy. After Cassidy does do drop on Fish, and Cole tags in. Cassidy is stopped from putting his hands in his pocket and Cole does the 'Adam Cole Bay Bay”. The story then becomes Cassidy trying to get his hands in his pockets and Cole doing everything to stop him.

Cassidy tags Yuta in and they toss Cole to the corner. Cassidy start to stroll over to the corner, and Yuta is able to hit two running back elbows into the corner by the time Cassidy gets there. Cassidy tosses Cole into Yuta who takes Cole down with scoop, slam and a senton for a two count.

Cole is able to turn the tables by pulling Yuta off the top while Fish was going for Yuta. Fish tags in and works over Yuta in the corner. Cole tags in and hits a shoulder breaker, and then tags in Fish who will be beating Yuta on the small screen.

When they go back to full screen, both men are down and struggling to tag in their partners. Fish tags first and Yuta is able to send Cole to the outside. Yuta leaps toward Cassidy and Cole pulls Cassidy off the apron. They double team Yuta, but Yuta is able to escape, get to the top and hit both with a missile drop kick. Yuta makes the tag and Cassidy is able to get his hands in his pockets and hits the soft kicks.

Cassidy then starts his work with kicks, a double Hurricanrana and a DDT on Fish. The fights go the the outside, Yuta and Cassidy leap onto them, Yuta is tagged in and hits a splash on Cole for a tow count. Cole fights his way out from both Yuta and Cassidy. Cassidy gets the Stundog millionaire, Yuta gets the suplex, and Cassidy leaps over for a pin and a two count. Fish is now in and hits and exploder on Yuta into Cole.

Fish tags in and gets a Dragon screw, and Cole hits a flying knee, and Fish covers for a two and locks in a knee bar. Yuta tries to break it up but is super kicked by Cole. Cassidy escapes and hit a beach break on Cole. Fish pushes Cassidy into the corner, and then hits an exploder on Cassidy in the corner. Yuta tags and hits stomps and as suplex on Fish for a two count.

Yuta goes up top, and is knocked off by Cole, and Cole then is able to toss Cassidy into the steel steps twice. Yuta is still on top, Fish goes to the top for a super plex. Fish hits an avalanche falcon arrow,m covers and gets the three count.

Your winners: Adam Cole and Bobby Fish

Tony Schiavone is in the back with Tony Nese. Nece says there is an open challenge for the TNT title, and he's challenging Sammy Guevara,and Sammy comes out and gets into his face. Nese pops Sammy in the face and say the only reason he has the title is because guys like him weren't available yet.

FTR challenges the Lucha Brothers to a two out of three match.

Britt Baker (AEW's women's champion) vs Riho If Riho wins, she gets a title shot

Baker comes to the ring with Rebel coming out and Jamie Hayter slowly coming behind them.

They lock up and Baker gets an arm bar. Riho reverses and takes down Baker. They work to their feet and Riho takes Baker down again. Baker works her way up and then trade blows in the middle of the ring. Baker takes Riho down for a two and Riho bridges out. Baker goes to the lock jaw, but Riho gets to the ropes.

As the rtef is distracted by Baker and Hayter and Rebel attack her. Baker takes over and Riho fights he way to her feet. Baker goes to the outside and Riho hits a cross body on Baker and Rebel. Riho tosses Baker into the ring and Riho goes for running elbow strikes. On the second one, Baker shoves Riho into a buckle and we go to commercial.

When we come back, Baker tries to slam Riho, but Riho blocks and nails a series of strikes. Baker hits a sling blade for a two count. Riho tries to fight up, but Baker keeps her on the mat. Baker stomps Riho down in the corner. Baker pulls Riho up and Riho starts trading blows. Riho is able to take Baker down with spinning head scissors, then gets a running knee strike. Baker blocks Riho next move and Baker suplexes Riho into the corner. Baker lifts Riho, Riho escapes out the back and hits a dragon suplex on Baker. Riho gets a two count.

Baker is able to hit the air raid crash, Baker gets a two count, and Baker lifts her up by her hair. Riho gets a Northern Light suplex for a two count. Riho goes up and gets the diving foot stomp and a two count. Riho runs at Baker, and Baker tries for a fisherman's neck breaker, but Riho escapes and rolls Baker up for a surprise three count.

Your winner and earning a shot at the AEW Women's Title: Riho

We get a rundown of Wednesday's card for Dynamite, and the card for Rampage.

Mark Henry says that Daniel Garcia is out of control. Eddie Kingston responds by laughing at their promo. He then says that Garcia is too light in the ass to mess with him. We've had enough talk, and its time for the main event.

Daniel Garcia w/2.0 vs Eddie Kingston

The brawl all around the ring and are broken up for getting into the ropes. Garcia rolls out of the ring and then rolls back in. They lock up, collar and elbow, and Garcia tries to go of strikes, and Eddie just beats him down in the corner. 2.0 pulls Garcia out of the ring and Eddie follow and takes out 2.0. Garcia is in the ring, and beats down Eddie as he comes into the ring. Garcia tries to toss Eddie across the ring, and Eddie holds fast in the corner until he turns it around and they trade strikes in the corner. Eddie wins the exchanges with a poke to the eye.

Eddie is able to climb to the top and he drops a knee on the back of Garcia's head. Eddie is selling his knee and kicks Garcia around the ring. Garcia chops Eddie in the throat and then goes after Eddie in the corner. Eddie is able to take control back and slams Garcia on the mat. They go to the small screen where Garcia works on Eddie's leg and injured shoulder.

When they return to full screen, Garcia has doles out most of the offense on the small screen, Garcia has an arm bar on Eddie on the mat. Garcia keeps the wrist and kicks Eddie in the hard. Garcia pulls him up and Eddie has trouble standing. Garcia goes in and Eddie hits an exploder. Garcia rolls out and the ref administers the count.

Garcia comes into the ring and they lock up with Eddie trying to suplex and Garcia just nails Eddie with elbows to the back of the head. Garcia is able to grab Eddie's injured leg and works it over with a leg bar and an ankle lock. Eddie works his way to his feet and dumps Garcia back in a suplex.

They both struggle to get up. Eddie pulls himself up by the ropes. Eddie comes over and just smack Garcia. They trade waist locks and Garcia gets in the heel hook on Eddie. Eddie escapes with kicks. Garcia drops and nails Eddie with heel hands into Eddie's head. They get to the feet and Eddie is able to get a dragon suplex, and Garcia rolls to the ropes. Garcia has done a great job of rolling to the ropes after Eddie gets a heavy move.

They go the middle of the ring and trade blows. Eddie hits an insigiri, and Garcia follows with a clothesline that takes Eddie down. Garcia tries to lift Eddie, and Eddie escapes. They trade blows and kicks again and Garcia hits a suplex. Eddie is up and hits the spinning back fist and covers Garcia for a cover and a three count.

Your winner: Eddie Kingston

2.0 enters the ring and starts to beat down Kingston, but Jericho leaves the announce booth to save him. Jericho cleans out and 2.0 beat a retreat with Daniel Garcia. And with that, we're desperately out of time!
