MATT TREMONT UPDATE

By Mike Johnson on 2021-11-10 13:24:00

Matt Tremont has remained hospitalized in New Jersey following burns suffered during the H2O Double Hell match against Japanese legend Atsushi Onita, PWInsider.com has confirmed.  The initial hope was that he would be out within a week but we are told Tremont is still undergoing treatment for the burns.

Tremont was injured during his 10/31 main event match at H2O Destiny in Trenton, NJ, which streamed live at IWTV.Live from the Trenton Thunder Stadium.

The finish of the bout saw Onita light a barbed wire board on fire and sent Tremont into the board.  Tremont's gear was burning as he came off before the bump put the fire out and Onita pinned him.

PWInsider.com sends Tremont the best for a quick and painless recovery.   He is currently advertised for a no ropes barbed wire match against Rickey Shane Page on 11/27 at a H2O event in Williamstown, NJ.
