CLASSIC WWF MSG SHOWS RELEASED FOR FIRST TIME, LAWLER, NXT UK & MORE

By Mike Johnson on 2021-10-21 12:42:00

WWE NXT will not be part of the "battle for brand supremacy" at this year's Survivor Series.  It wasn't last year due to the then-existing edict that NXT not cross over with the main roster due to COVID-19 concerns.  This year, it's because NXT has been reconstituted as a secondary, developmental brand.

The March and May 1984 WWF Madison Square Garden shows on the WWE Network and Peacock prior to this month had never been released in complete form.  At the time, they weren't aired on the MSG Network as the company opened up what was then known as The Felt Forum, selling overflow tickets for fans to watch via closed circuit, so they didn't make it available for cable viewers.  How different the word was then.

NXT UK is already up on demand on the WWE Network but not yet on Peacock.

The Kickstarter to re-release Jerry Lawler's old LP records from the 1970s did not succeed, but those involved are looking into other venues to have them released.

The 12/26 WWE Madison Square Garden return officially goes on sale tomorrow.
