WWE NXT REPORT: THE WHEEL IS ON, WHO IS YOUR HOST, BATHROOM RENDEVOUS, AND MORE

By Richard Trionfo on 2021-10-19 22:00:00

We begin with a look back at the North American Title Match and then the second one that saw a new champion crowned.

We are in Orlando, Florida and your announcers are Wade Barrett and Vic Joseph.

North American Champion Carmelo Hayes and Trick Williams make their way to the ring.

Trick asks Alicia to reintroduce Carmelo Hayes again and she does.  Trick says they look good.  They look like money and they have gold now.  Just like we told y'all a few weeks ago, there is nothing humble about us.  We are having a MeloBration tonight.

Hayes says four and a half months ago, I stepped on the scene and I brought that energy. I blew through the competition in the Breakout Tournament and proved that I am the final boss.  I walked around for two months, waiting to take what is truly mine.  I pulled a swerve on Swerve last week.  When I shoot, I don't miss.  From this point on, I'm calling the shots.  I am the team captain.  I am the leader of the New School.  As long as this is around my waist, this is the 'A' Championship.  I don't care if Ciampa or management have a problem with it, I said it.

Johnny Gargano's music plays and he comes out.

Johnny says he does not think they have formally met and he introduces himself.  He says he has had his eye on Carmelo.  He has held that title more times than anyone else.  I wanted to come out here and say congratulations.  This is supposed to be fun and a good time.  Johnny says he has had a lot of fun with bachelor parties, weddings, and honeymoons.  It has been tons of fun.  With Austin on Raw, Indi married, and Candice at home pregnant, I have lost my way.  What is next for me?  It is staring me right in the face.  What is next for Johnny Gargano is to do what he was put on this planet to do.  Being in this ring in front of these people against someone like you.

Gargano tells Carmelo to take a shot at him.

Trick tells Johnny to worry about his daughter because Indi has been hitting up Melo's DMs all week.

Johnny tells Hayes and Williams, there is his son in law.

Lumis is behind Trick and Carmelo and the champ and his fellow jacket wearer leave the ring.

Williams is pushed to the ring by Hayes and he backs off when Lumis slides to the ropes.
