JOE GACY FACING NXT CHAMPION, A-KID CHALLENGES DRAGONUV ON NXT UK, WWE WINE CELEBRATED, SHATNER, PEARCE & MORE WWE NOTES

WWE Celebrity Hall of Famer William Shatner, 90, is slated to become the oldest person to ever travel to space on Wednesday 10/13.  Best of luck to him.

WWE Wine was touted as one of the 20 "must-have pop-culture gifts" for the holiday season by Pop Insider Magazine over the weekend in honor of New York Comic Con.

Director James Gunn has made it clear that John Cena's Peacemaker series, which debuts in January 2022 on HBO Max, is indeed a sequel to The Suicide Squad.  When the film was first announced, it was teased the series would be a prequel so as not to spoil whether Cena's character survived the film, which had a massively large death count for its cast.  

Beyond tonight's WWE Monday Night Raw broadcast, the following is slated for WWE this week:

Tomorrow on WWE NXT 2.0 on the USA Network will feature WWE NXT Champion Tommaso Ciampa vs. Joe Gacey - Non-title.  If Gacey wins, he is added to Halloween Havoc main event, WWE NXT North American Champion Isaiah "Swerve" Scott vs. Santos Escobar, Kyle O'Reilly & Von Wagner vs. Pete Dunne & Ridge Holland and Lash Legend's talk show returns for its second outing.

WWE will stream the latest edition of The Bump Wednesday morning at 10 AM EST.

Thursday's NXT UK will feature Ilja Dragunov versus A-Kid for the NXT UK Championship plus Blair Davenport being reinstated.

This Friday, Friday Night Smackdown will be broadcast on FS1 due to FOX's broadcast of Major League Baseball.  WWE will also be adding an extra half hour to the show from Ontario, CA at the Toyota Arena, so it will be 2 1/2 hours total.  Announced for the episode is Brock Lesnar appearing, Smackdown Women's Champion Becky Lynch vs. Sasha Banks in a non-title bout, a King of the Ring tournament Semi-Final featuring Finn Balor vs. Sami Zayn, a Queen's Crown Semi-Final tournament bout with Carmella vs. Zelina Vega and Sonya Deville vs. Naomi.

WWE has live events in the Southwest this weekend.  On Saturday 10/16, they will return to Rio Rancho, New Mexico at the Rio Rancho Event Center with Roman Reigns & The Usos vs. The Street Profits & Finn Balor and WWE Smackdown Women's Champion Becky Lynch vs. Bianca Belair advertised alongside Damian Priest and Bobby Lashey. 

This Sunday 10/17, they will hit El Paso, Texas at the Don Haskins Center.  There are no matches announced but advertised for the event are Reigns, Priest, Belair, Lashley, Nikki A.S.H., The Mysterios. Charlotte Flair and Sasha Banks.
