USING THE FINGER IN AEW, RUINGING NXT AND MORE

What’s the deal with AEW wrestlers constantly giving each other the finger? Is it a lazy attempt to be edgy? Not only is it a bit of a lame gesture (it’s just a finger) to begin with but when everyone does it ad nauseam, it starts to mean less and less.

Well, let me ask you a question.  Was it lazy when Steve Austin did it?  Was the Attitude Era lazy?  Here’s the deal to me, I don’t see it as lazy at all.  It is overused at times?  Maybe, but to me it adds to the product when people show a legitimate disdain for one another and nothing is a better example of that than the finger.

I think its great that Owen Hart is finally been honoured in the world of professional wrestling. Obviously there is bad blood (sorry I couldn't  think of  a better expression) between WWE and Owens family. But do you think WWE could get involved in the project, by perhaps loaning or not making things awkward for AEW to use footage of Owens greatest hits. At the end of the day, this shouldn't be about WWE or AEW or even his wife’s beliefs, but Owen and Owen only. WWE could do with some good PR by giving footage or even sending over some talent for the tournament (yes, second one won't happen, but the first maybe).

Here’s the deal, as long as Martha Hart and the family wants no association with WWE, there will be no association.  WWE has respected Martha’s choice for over two decades and I think they will continue to do so.  The only publicity I could see coming from unwanted involvement would be negative for the company.

Congratulations to Ronda Rousey & Travis Brown, but can you explain the baby's name? Or even pronounce it?

I can’t explain it or pronounce it but if it’s what they want to name their child, that’s fine by me.

Holy crap. I stopped watching WWE aside from Roman Reigns and decided to tune in to NXT tonight. I’m sorry I did. The show looked like a PPV kick off show. Vince has definitely lost what ever sense he had left. How long until NBC pulls the plug and puts his ‘vision’ to pasture?

I agree on the quality of NXT.  They have taken a once great product and turned it into dreck.  Way to go Vince!  As for how long it stays on the air, as long as it draws an audience that NBC Universal is happy with.

There are a lot of wrestlers that have started in NXT and have been moved up to the main rosters.  Why are guys like Gargano and Ciampa still in NXT after all these years when they should have been moved up to Raw or Smackdown?

There was a time when those two got called up (with no plan in mind for them) but Ciampa got injured.  There are definitely talents that are better off in NXT (or at least used to be before it became what it is now).  Talents tend to stay in NXT because Vince doesn’t call them up to the main roster.
