Is Daniel Bryan still on the WWE Roster?  I haven't heard he was released and wished well on his future endeavors.  He was on the alumni page due to the angle with Roman.

Bryan wouldn't have gotten any sort of announcement if his contract expired.  He is not listed internally on the WWE roster as of this morning and there are some in the company who believe he will be signing with AEW.  Time will tell.

I saw you ran a press release about that new Raising the Bar Wrestling promotion here in Southern California and my first fear was that it's a Joey Ryan promotion with Ryan hiding it.  Can you tell me whether he's involved?

Joey Ryan is not involved in the promotion, not as an owner, a talent or in a behind the scenes role.  The promotion is brand new and was launched by three people, Jonathan King who is an Artist Manager at Shelter Music Group, Andrew Pulido - who will be booking the promotion and was the former head writer for Championship Wrestling Hollywood - and Michael Coughlin, who at one point was the New England promoter for Ring of Honor before moving to California to work as a Producer for Disney.   This is a brand new start-up, 100% with zero connection to Ryan.

If Daniel Bryan goes elsewhere, does he have the rights to American Dragon Bryan Danielson?

It's his real name, so of course he does.  He could absolutely use the American Dragon nickname if he wanted.  Hell, I'd even bring back his old "Final Countdown" theme song from Europe.

How upsetting and unnecessary is Vince's statement that if AEW want more talents maybe they can provide them? Is he so unaware of the fact that a rating war is not everything? That it's about jobs, the way people put food on the table and pay bills? Dismissal is not a subject for witty jokes, it's freaking people's livelihoods.

I can't argue with any of that.  For the record, I contacted WWE immediately after the call ended asking for clarification on why Vince McMahon stated what he said during that stockholders call and as of this writing, we have not heard back.

Can't say I'm entirely surprised that Bray Wyatt was released, but it still disappoints and saddens me. The guy is a truly talented performer who was personally invested in his characters, but he was always stymied by creative once his act truly got any steam behind it. Wyatt's treatment at the hands of WWE was one of the biggest wastes of true potential they've ever had. Where do you see him go from here? Do you think that AEW will come calling, seeing as they've become the island of misfit wrestlers that WWE failed to truly appreciate?

There's only one other place to make money at the level top talents make from WWE and that's AEW.  While AEW can't hire everyone, I can see Tony Khan wanting Bray because there's obviously a lot of creativity and potential in him.  I would be personally shocked if he's not part of the promotion by the end of the year.

Whatever happened to the return of the NAWA?

They ran one show in Florida and then paused due to the pandemic.  We've heard they still intend to run.  I don't blame them for being very strategic about when they return.  There's no reason to burn through money during a time period where it's really hard to try and build something from scratch.
