COMPLETE ECWA WOMEN'S SUPER 8 2021 COVERAGE

Welcome to PWInsider.com's live, ongoing coverage of the 2021 ECWA Women's Super 8 tournament, live from the Monster Factory in Paulsboro, NJ.

The show opening with all of the competiors coming to the ring for an official introduction.

ECWA Super 8 Round One: Megan Bayne vs. Damaris Dawkins

Bayne towered over Dawkin and used her power to control her early on.  Dawkins grabbed a side headlock but Bayne used her power to reverse and control Dawkins.  Bayne missed an elbowdrop and Dawkins grabbed her arm for an armwringer.  Bayne reversed and but Dawkins used a leg takedown,  They continued to battle back and forth over the arm and headlock.

Dawkins was sent into the corner but ducked under a big boot and used a deep armdrag to control Bayne.  Bayne caught her rebounding off the ropes and nailed a Samoan Drop.   Bayne used her power to control Dawkins, who rolled her up for a two count.  Bayne controlled her with a side headlock.   Dawkins fought her way out but was hit with a tilowhirl powerslam.    Bayne stomped away on Dawkins.  Dawkins was sent into the corner but moved during a charge, leaving Bayne to hit the ring post.

Dawkins made a comeback with a series of rights and a jawbreaker.  Dawkins rebounded with a double axe-handle to the throat.  Bayne went for a move off the shoulders but Dawkins nailed a series of elbow to the head and escaped.  Bayne nailed a TKO and scored the pin.

ECWA Super 8 Round One: Vicious Vickie vs. Gabby Ortiz

Former ECW referee John Finnegan is officiating.  That warms my heart.

Ortiz nailed a suplex for a two count.  Vickie cut her off and nailed several kicks and chops before choking Ortiz against the ropes.  She worked over Ortiz and nailed a side slam of sorts for a two count.  Vickie nailed a hip attack in the corner and snapped her with a rude looking bulldog for another two count.   Vickie locked on a Camel Clutch.  Ortiz battled her way out but was caught with big clubbing blows to the back.  Ortiz ducked a clothesline and nailed one of her own, followed by a back elbow.

Ortiz continued going with the offense, scoring a two count with a neckbreaker.  Ortiz nailed a sunset flip off the top but Vickie rolled through and nailed a dropkick to the face.  Ortiz locked on a leg submission and forced her to tap.

ECWA Super 8 Round One: Ashley D'Ambroise vs. Adena Steele

They battled back and forth after exchanging bodybuilding poses.  Steele nailed a big boot in the corner and hit a flying bodypress into the corner for a two count.  Ashley battled back but was caught in a neckbreaker.  Steele went for a suplex but Ashley reversed it into a Michinoku Driver for the pin.  A fun, fast paced bout!

ECWA Super 8 Round One: Tina San Antonio vs. Erica Leigh

They began grappling with Erica having the early advantage.  TSA escaped and they faced off.  They went to a test of strength with Leigh getting the worst of it.    She turned TSA's arm into an armwringer but TSA escaped and took out her legs, tying up Leigh on the mat.  They fought to their feet.  Leigh was sent into the corner but went up and over, taking TSA down with a side headlock.   

Leigh tied up TSA on the mat but was hit with a back elbow.    TSA worked her over, slamming Leigh into the buckles and then hitting a mare, tossing Leigh across the ring.  Leigh was whipped into the buckles again and then hit with a Bronco Buster.  Leigh began battling back and whipped TSA into the corner.  They each went for back elbows at the same time.  Leigh got the worst of it and was hit with a clothesline for a two count.  TSA locked on a rear chinlock.

Leigh came back with a Samoan Drop for a two count.  Leigh nailed a shining wizard for a two count.  They battled over a suplex with neither getting the advantage.  Leigh nailed a Saito Suplex and set up for a charge.  TSA avoided it and Leigh hit the corner hard.  TSA nailed a gourdbuster and scored the pin.

Independent Wrestling.TV Champion Wheeler Yuta vs. 2021 ECWA Super 8 winner Killian McMurphy w/ Big Dust

Yuta controlled the match early on the mat, leaving McMurphy to head to the floor to try and quell the momentum.  When he returned, they locked up but Yuta tied up McMurphy in a submission before the challenger made it to the ropes to break it.  McMurphy fought back but was caught in the corner with several kicks.  Yuta went for a springboard move but Big Dust interfered and caused him to crash and burn outside.

McMurphy drilled him into the apron outside, working over Yuta's back.  Yuta was tossed back into the ring and nailed with an elbow across the back of the neck.  Yuta was sent into the ropes and nailed with a back elbow for a two count.  McMurphy continued the assault and sent him into the corner.  Yuta drilled him with an elbow as McMurphy charged, then snatched him with a tornado DDT.    Yuta followed up with a German suplex with a bridge for a two count and snatched an armbar, but McMurphy made it to the ropes to break.

McMurphy came back with a suplex and covered him for a near fall.  McMurphy sold the arm really well.  They battled into the corner, wiping out the referee.  They went for stereo high cross bodyblocked and wiped each other out.  Big Dust got into the ring for a two count but A Very Good Professional Wrestler left the announcing booth to stop him and nailed DDT.  He then tossed Yuta and McMurphy each to the floor and then roused the referee.  He told the referee to count them both out.  They each returned to the ring by the nine count.

They battled back and forth until McMurphy nailed a lariat.  They battled until Yuta scored the pin.

We are now at intermission.

SEMI-FINALS: Gabby Ortiz vs. Megan Bayne

Power vs. finesse was the story here with Bayne controlling her smaller opponent early on.  Ortiz came back with some nice offense but was unable to score the pinfall.  Bayne nailed the TKO and scored the pin.

Your winner, advancing to the finals, Megan Bayne!

SEMI-FINALS: Tina St. Antonio vs. Ashley D'Ambroise

Lots of back and forth battling;.  TSA used her experience to control Ashley and nailed a legdrop for a two count.  TSA nailed a series of kicks to the chest and face, pinning her in  the corner.  She whipped Ashley into the opposite corner but missed a charge and hit the ring post with her shoulder.  Ashley came back to nailed a DVDR out of nowhere and score the pin.

Your winner, Ashley D'Ambroise!

It will be Ashley D'Ambroise vs. Baynes in the final.

L.A. Vin vs.Alex Anthony to determine the top contender for the ECWA Legacy Championship

Vin was the heel.  Anthony served in the military and wore camouflage to the ring.    Vin nailed a belly to belly suplex for a two count but Anthony fired back with some shots to the neck and a bodypress for a two count.  Vin caught him with a spinebuster for a two count.   Anthony fired back and nailed a dropkick.  He then nailed one in the corner and ascended to the top.  He nailed a flying bodypress and set up for Sweet Chin Music.    He missed and they went for a series of moves before Vin scored the pin.  They were not in synch towards the end.

ECWA Champion Mr. Ooh La La vs. WORLD-1 Champion Joey Ace vs. Mike Law

Law and Ace charged and crashed into each other.  Ooh La La nailed a double clothesline on them.  Law went to the floor.  He peppered Ace with forearms and sent him to the floor.  He snapmared Law into the ring.   Ooh La La drilled everyone with chops in the corner but missed a charge.  Ace dropkicked him down.  He was sent to the floor.  Law nailed a pop-up powerbomb on Ace.  He charged Ooh La La with a forearm and smashed him into the buckles, sending him to the floor.

Law and Ace battled in the ring.  Ooh La La returned to the apron but was knocked down to the floor by Ace.  He turned back to Law, who he sent into the corner.  Law drilled him with an elbow and whipped Ace into the corner.  Law nailed a clothesline for a two count.   Ooh La La returned to the ring and nailed a series of forearms.  He chopped away at Ace in the corner.

Law drilled Ooh La La, cutting him off.  He wailed away at him with chops.  Ooh La La whipped him into the corner but was nailed with a back elbow.  Ooh La La nailed a jawbreaker.  Law went for a kick but Ooh La La caught him and nailed a stunner.  Ace nailed Law with a Sliced Bread #2.    Ace bit Ooh La La in the corner.  He went for a series of moves but Ooh La La caught him with a cutter and scored the pin.

Your winner and still ECWA Champion and new ACE Champion, Mr. Ooh La La!

They announced him as the unified champion.

ECWA Super 8 Finals: Megan Baynes vs. Ashley D'Ambroise

Baynes controllled the match early with her power.  She's shown quite a lot of poise and personality during her matches.  She kept cutting off Ashley and maintaining the control.  She rebounded off the ropes with a back senton splash for a two count.  Ashley was fighting from underneath but kept getting cut off and was smashed into the buckles.

They cut each other down with clotheslines.  Ashley got to her senses first and nailed a jawbreaker.  She nailed several kicks on Baynes.  Ashley nailed a suplex and went to execute a uranage but was cut off with a series of elbows.  She nailed the rolling neckbreaker for a two count.  Baynes nailed a Black Hole Slam and scored the pin.

Your winner and 2021 ECWA Women's Super 8 Tournament winner, Megan Baynes!

Baynes cut a promo putting over the other competitors but said the gold always goes home with the Goddess.
