NEW MATCHES SET FOR WRESTLE GRAND SLAM IN METLIFE DOME, NOAH IN KAWASAKI RESULTS, BIG JAPAN AND MORE FROM JAPAN

Pro Wrestling NOAH held a show today in Kawasaki.

The full results were:

• Aleja def. Junta Miyawaki
• Daisuke Harada def. Haoh
• Tadasuke def. Kinya Okada
• Kaito Kiyomiya Katsuhiko Nakajima – Time Limit Draw (30 minutes)
• Kenoh def. Masa Kitamiya

Manabu Soya missed the show due to epidemic keratoconjunctivitis.

New Japan Pro Wrestling

New Japan Pro Wrestling has announced two new matches for the second night of Wrestle Grand Slam on September 4 in the MetLife Dome.

First, Chase Owens will attempt his first defense of the KOPW 2021 trophy against Toru Yano.

Second, in a rematch from the first night of Wrestle Grand Slam on July 25 in the Tokyo Dome, Jeff Cobb will face Kazuchika Okada.

Okada won the first encounter and Cobb said he would travel back to America to renew his focus. However, Cobb made a surprise appearance on the first night of New Japan’s Summer Struggle tour yesterday to attack Okada.

Big Japan Pro Wrestling

Drew Parker will attempt his second defense of the BJW Deathmatch Heavyweight Championship against Yuko Miyamoto at Big Japan Pro Wrestling’s Death Mania ? 2021 show on September 5 in Nagoya. Then, the winner will defend the title against Ryuji Ito at Big Japan’s show on September 20 in Sapporo.

BJW World Strong Heavyweight Championship holder Yasufumi Nakanoue will also compete on both shows, attempting his sixth defense of the title against Fuminori Abe at Death Mania ? 2021 and facing Takuya Nomura in a non-title rematch on September 20.

Nakanoue made his fifth successful defense of the title against Nomura at Big Japan’s show on July 23 in Korakuen Hall after they wrestled to a 30-minute time limit draw. Abe challenged Nakanoue afterwards, setting the stage for their match at Death Mania ? 2021.

Big Japan has announced Hideki Sekine will debut for the company at its show on October 28 in Twin Messe Shizuoka.

Big Japan’s Kazumi Kikuta and Takuho Kato have tested positive for COVID-19, the company announced today.

They are experiencing mild symptoms and will miss Big Japan’s four shows on July 31 and August 1.

DDT Pro-Wrestling

DDT Pro-Wrestling has announced the full card for its show on August 15 in Korakuen Hall.

The full card is:

• Hideki Okatani vs. Mizuki Watase
• Antonio Honda, Chris Brookes, Danshoku Dieno and Keigo Nakamura vs. HARASHIMA, Kazuki Hirata, Naomi Yoshimura and Toru Owashi
• Kazusada Higuchi, Yukio Sakaguchi and Yuya Koroku vs. Soma Takao, Tetsuya Endo and Yuji Hino
• Akito and Yuki Ueno vs. Daisuke Sasaki and Mad Paulie
• Sanshiro Takagi and Shiro Koshinaka vs. Yuki Iino and Yukio Naya
• DDT Extreme Championship: Shinya Aoki (c) vs. MAO
• KO-D Tag Team Championships: Konosuke Takeshita and Shunma Katsumata (c) vs. Jun Akiyama and Yusuke Okada

Frontier Martial-Arts Wrestling Explosion

Frontier Martial-Arts Wrestling Explosion has announced the full field for its eight-woman deathmatch tournament.

Akane Fujita, An Chamu, Risa Sera and Suzu Suzuki had already been announced, and rounding out the tournament will be Madeline, Miss Mongolia, Rydeen Hagane and Thekla.

Two first round matches will take place on September 12 and the remaining two first round matches will take place on October 24.

The semi-finals will take place on November 21 and the final will take place on December 19.

Pro Wrestling ZERO1

Fuminori Abe will replace Isami Kodaka at Pro Wrestling ZERO1’s show on August 1 in Korakuen Hall teaming with Yuko Miyamoto against Hide Kubota and Yasu Kubota.

Kodaka will miss the show due to being in close contact with SAGAT, who tested positive for COVID-19.
