IS THIS THE END FOR 205 LIVE, HOW WWE CAN SAY THEY ARE CUTTING THE BUDGET WHEN THEY ARE MAKING SO MUCH MONEY AND MORE

By Mike Johnson on 2021-06-27 10:00:00

With so many talents released, WWE has to be cancelling 205 Live right?

Not necessarily.  While they released a number of the higher paid 205 Live talents, let’s not forget they are stacked with talent who have never been seen and are probably being paid less in the Performance Center.  We have heard in recent years that Hulu pays a nice rights fee for the series and that is a main factor in keeping it going, so as long as that remains the case, my belief is 205 Live will continue to exist.

Do all these releases have the 90 day non compete?

We are told the 205 Live talents have the 90 day non-compete.  I would think former main roster talents (think Fandango) also have that clause.  The NXT talents would have a 30 day non compete.

Why is WWE cutting so many people while they are making so much more money? It can’t be budget cuts.

It actually can be budget cuts.  If Coca-Cola, for example, was making $5 billion a year and decided they didn’t need to spend $100 million in advertising to make that $5 Billion, then cutting that expenditure would be a budget cut technically.  If WWE feels that they don’t need X amount of money spent on talent, it’s not a lie to say they cut the budget.

What was the first WWE video game?

I believe it was Micro League Wrestling, which was released for Commodore home computers in 1987.  You can see some of the game play below:

What was the first WWF Home Video?

Wrestling’s Bloopers, Bleeps & Bodyslams.

Who trained the Bear Country kids in AEW?  They are pretty good.

They come from Curt Hawkins and Pat Buck's Create-A-Pro Academy.
