6/23/21 Results from New Japan's Kizuna Road 2021 - Korakuen Hall, Tokyo Japan:

Yota Tsuji vs. Great O-Khan.  Tsuji and O-Khan began grappling on the mat.   Tsuji was still channeling his match with Zack Sabre Jr.   Normally, O-Khan is a brawler but he display good amateur wrestling skills early on.   O-Khan used his power to attack the lower back of Tsuji.  Tsuji countered with his own power moves against O-Khan.   Tsuji hit a bodyslam, splash, powerslam, and a Boston Crab to O-Khan.  O-Khan grabbed the leg of Tsuji to break the hold.   O-Khan chopped the ear of Tsuji and threw hit across the ring with a gut-wrench suplex.   Both men exchanged chops and strikes.   Tsuji hit a Spear and got a two count.    Tsuji missed a top rope splash.   O-Khan grabbed Tsuji in a neck submission and hit a hard elbow.  Two count.   O-Khan with a Boston Crab, Powerslam and vertical suplex.  Tsuji rolled up O-Khan for a two count.  O-Khan hit a belly-to-belly suplex and locked Tsuji in another Boston Crab.   O-Khan was bouncing up and down on the lower back of Tsuji.   Tsuji had to tap out.  O-Khan gets the submission win.

Yuya Uemura vs. Kota Ibushi.  Uemura starts off with collar elbow tie-up and backs Ibushi into the ropes.  Uemura did give a clean break and hammered Ibushi with elbows and took him down with headlock.  They grappled on the mat exchanging headlocks and submissions.   Ibushi slapped and kicked Uemura as they both got to their feet, either encouraging him to fire up and fight, or in a mocking sense.   Uemura threw chops and elbows into the chest and head of Ibushi.   Ibushi threw a sick elbow and knocked Uemura off his feet.   Ibushi goes for a pin.  Two count.  Ibushi kicked Uemura in the lower back and locked him in a Camel Clutch.  Uemura gets to the ropes.   Ibushi claps to encourage the crowd to cheer Uemura on.   Uemura is thrown into the corner and gets a boot to the face.    Ibushi comes off the ropes and Uemura stuns him with a high dropkick.   Uemura throws Ibushi into the corner and hits a running dropkick to his chest.   Uemura hits Ibushi with a flying forearm.   Uemura with a back suplex for a two count.   Uemura tries for a Boston Crab on Ibushi but he tries to slap his way out.   Ibushi hits a double foot stomp on the chest of Uemura.   Ibushi throws kicks and strikes.   Uemura begins to "hulk up".  Uemura goes for a double underhook suplex.   Ibushi blocks it, wraps his arms around Uemura's arms and creates almost a reverse chinlock.  Uemura is able to get out of the hold, trips Ibushi and locks him in a Boston Crab.   Uemura drags Ibushi away from the ropes and repositions into a Liontamer.    Ibushi is able to power his way to the ropes for a break.

Uemura starts throwing elbows.  Ibushi looks at him and points to his head and tells him to hit harder.  Uemura hits multiple elbows and Ibushi slumps to the mat.    Uemura picks up Ibushi around the waist and hits a deadlift German suplex with a pin.   Ibushi kicks out at two.   Uemura blasts Ibushi with multiple open handed slaps.   Ibushi counters with a big lariat.   Uemura kicks out at two.   Ibushi traps Uemura in a single leg Boston Crab.   He transitions into a single leg Liontamer, twisting Uemura's body in different directions.

Uemura taps out.   Ibushi gets the submission win.

Really good stuff here.   This series of single gauntlet matches for Yota Tsuji and Yuya Uemura with New Japan's best wrestlers can only help these Young Lions get better.  I am really enjoying this series, as it is almost like a mini-G1 Climax, but for Young Lions.

Uemura crawled to Ibushi.   Ibushi patted him on the shoulder and spoke words of encouragement.   Ibushi looked to the crowd and applauded, encouraging them to clap for Uemura's performance.   Ibushi stood on the apron and applauded Uemura and left for the locker room.

Tomoaki Honma, Satoshi Kojima, Togi Makabe, Hiroyoshi Tenzan and Yuji Nagata vs. Toru Yano, Kazuchika Okada, YOSHI-HASHI, Hirooki Goto and Tomohiro Ishii.  Wild match with bodies everywhere.    Ishii hits a brainbuster on Honma and gets the pin.  After the match, Ishii slaps Nagata, Tenzan and Kojima.   This brings Goto and YOSHI-HASHI into the ring.  All six men face off in the ring and ring officials run in to break it up.   The heat is increasing between the NEVER Openweight 6-man Tag Champions and their future opponents.

Hiromu Takahashi joins the Japanese Announce Team.

BUSHI, SANADA, Tetsuya Naito and Shingo Takagi vs. Yoshinobu Kanemaru, El Desperado, Zack Sabre Jr. and Taichi.  Taichi comes to the ring holding a box.   Taichi's name is on the box.   Taichi puts the box down in the middle of the ring.  Naito comes to the ring staring at the box.   Naito tells Hiromu to open the ropes for him to get in the ring.  Hiromu leaves the announce desk and tries to shoot toy fireworks for Naito's ring entrance.   Hiromu sits on the middle rope to let Naito into the ring.   Taichi kicks Hiromu off the ring apron and he goes crashing into the guardrail.   LIJ members run to help Hiromu.   Taichi motions to the box in the ring.  Naito approaches the box and stares at the writing on the box.    Taichi picks up the box and bows to Naito.  He presents the box to Naito.   Naito bows in return.   Naito lifts the box high in the air and hits Taichi in the head with it.

All hell breaks loose between Suzuki-Gun and LIJ.  While ZSJ battled SANADA in the ring, Taichi choked out Naito with cable wires.   Too much action to recap here.     Desperado hits a left knockout punch to BUSHI.  He hits BUSHI with Pinche Loco.   Desperado pins BUSHI.

Suzuki-Gun attacks Naito and SANADA after the match as they will be their challengers for the IWGP Heavyweight Tag Titles soon.

IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Tag Team Championship:   El Phantasmo and Taiji Ishimori vs. SHO and YOH.  ELP and Ishimori began the match with serious attitudes.   There is no playing games tonight.  Both teams were evenly matched until YOH went for a springboard off the ropes and Ishimori pulled him to the floor.   Bullet Club ripped off a turnbuckle and punished the lower back of YOH.   SHO was able to tag in and get the advantage for his team.   Ishimori caught SHO in a YES Lock.  SHO tried for the ropes but Ishimori rolled him over and got him in a Bone Lock.  YOH threw ELP into Ishimori to break the hold.  Ishimori and SHO were in the ring again and they traded reversals.  SHO hit a Power Breaker on Ishimori.  YOH and ELP tagged in and they hit each other with stiff elbows.   ELP hit a German suplex.  YOH countered with a Super kick.   YOH hit a German suplex with a bridge.  Two count.  YOH with a Small Package.  Two count.  ELP with a Jackknife pin.   Two count.    Ishimori hits a Bloody Cross on YOH.   ELP comes from the top rope with Thunderkiss 86.   YOH kicks out at two.

Taiji Ishimori and El Phantasmo win their 3rd IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Tag Team Titles!

ELP did not use Sudden Death at all during this Kizuna Road Tour.   He pulled it out when it mattered.

ELP takes the mic.   He called everyone in Korakuen "fat marks".   He said they all forgot about Sudden Death, but Bullet Club is fine.   Ishimori takes the mic and says that they are now 3X Tag Team Champions.

In the interview area, Ishimori warns El Desperado that he is coming for his Title.   ELP takes off his shoe to show that he is the most dangerous striker in New Japan.
