I know the WWE owns the names they give their wrestlers but when they let a wrestler go, is there a chance that the wrestler could pay them for the rights for the name out of his/her pocket? The WWE can still own the for all practical purposes but the wrestler can pay them either a fixed agreed upon fee or pay them X amount a month as long as they want to use it? I mean, with someone like Braun Strowman being released, wherever he goes people are still going to know he was Strowman in the WWE and not like the WWE is going to give that name to another wrestler and expect it to work well (after what happened to the fake Diesel and Razor Ramon I hope they learned their lesson on that!)
As Vince McMahon always says, he is open for business. So in theory could a wrestler buy they name from WWE? Sure. Would the price be prohibitive? Probably.
Is it just me or is the WWE Network on Peacock, and Peacock in general, set up horribly? There's no description/summary of what's on the shows like there was on the Network and it makes it extremely difficult to find certain shows with matches you want to watch unless you have it memorized by date.
It's not you. I have a lot of streaming services. Peacock has, by far, the worst layout and functionality.
Couldn't they have just integrated the WWE Network as it was formatted previously? Or just have the previous configuration come up (basically like clicking on a link) when you go to the WWE section? Disney+ has separate blocks for Marvel, Star Wars, etc. It's way easier to use and a great model for how the network should be integrated.
They have a WWE channel on the thing. Why they just don't air the WWE Network feed, I have no idea. It seems so simple to implement.
It looks like in the short term they're building toward Alexa Bliss vs Shayna Baszler, which is cool. But given what happened at Wrestlemania, don't you think the big money match for SummerSlam would be Lilly vs Abby the Witch? I mean, unless they hold off on that for Wrestlemania 38 of course.
Ugh. Shayna being afraid of a doll is pure garbage. I don't want to see it. I hate it. It's not what I call pro wrestling.
Why are we getting Drew McIntyre vs. Lashley again at the PPV? We have seen this match already at Wrestlemania. He lost clean, then he lost again at Backlash in a 3 way match. Like move on from this match already.
Why? Because Vince McMahon is your booker and he has lost his mojo. It’s that simple.
