TONY KHAN’S BOOKING, GETTING HEAT, ADDING TO PEACOCK AND MORE

A few weeks ago on NXT on the segment when there was verbal exchange between Kross and Cole the two seemed to be having real heat with another. Kross even (sort of) whispered “we can take this out in the back” after Cole made a jab (what seemed like) only the two of them would only know something about. The segment ended with them Cole throwing a water bottle at Kross almost hitting Scarlett (I think that’s her name) and it seemed to legitimately piss Kross off. My question is was that real heat or just really good acting between the two. It definitely gave me goosebumps.

It was reality based heat. Triple H talked about it on last week’s conference call, which we covered on the site.

Since WWE is a public company, did they ever disclose how much they paid for EVOLVE?

Not that I heard.  And they don't have to make disclosures about small purchases like that if they choose not to.

Why hasn’t the entire library of Smackdown episodes been added to Peacock yet? I know it takes time to add stuff but with Smackdown being one of the top shows I’d thought it would have been added right after Raw was. Is it a rights issue?

It's a process.  Plus most people don't watch the old stuff so it's not a rush.  They will get there.  Peacock has the rights to everything that was on the old version of the Network.

Do you think Tony Khan needs more discipline as a booker and promoter.  There are too many lame skits and comedy on Dynamite and wrestlers often take too many risks they shouldn’t. And Omega and the Bucks their top acts come across as acting like everything is a joke.

I think what fans like from a booker/promoter is totally subjective.  What you don’t like, someone else loves.  I have always said it doesn’t matter what I like, it matters what people who are spending money like.  Even if I thought Khan, or Vince for that matter, was the worst booker ever, if he is making money and entertaining fans delivering the product he wants to deliver, I can’t say he is wrong.

What are your thoughts on Sheamus. He’s been there for years and always gives it his all in every match and its seems like he’s one of the few in WWE who hasn’t been subjected to bad creative. I think he’s one of the most underrated wrestlers in WWE history. Your thoughts?

The guy works really hard and has great matches.  I have a lot of respect for his work and his work ethic.  And yes, like most acts in WWE he has been given some really bad creative over the years.
