With the election only a couple days away candidate Johnson leans candidate Taft 52% to 48%. Park interviews Johnson and asks him if he’s writing his victory speech. Johnson says he doesn’t point to the scoreboard until the game is over. Randall says he loves counting his chickens. He has 3 chickens.
Hawaii 1982...
Rocky Johnson is given a poster that Lia is going to use showing Rocky as a WWF tag team champion. Rocky is going to take it with him to autograph signings as he’s about to his the road. Dewey wants to go but it told the road is no place for a child. Lia is leaving to meet Greg Yao and Ata says they should stay away from him.
Dewey insists on going on the road with Rocky, so Rocky decides to show him what road life and they go to the gym. Rocky tells Dewey his Mom didn’t get her Star Search audition canceled but that she didn’t want to leave Dewey while Rocky was in the road and what Dewey said hurt her feelings.
Lia and Bob go to Greg Yao’s office. She wants her tribute fee. Yao doesn’t have the full fee which angers Lia. She threatens him and says he has until the end of the day. Yao talks into the FBI microphone asking if they heard her. They got it.
Rocky & Dewey are walking on the beach and show up at a surprise going away party with all the wrestlers from Lia’s promotion.
Lia is picking up a cake at a bakery when FBI officials surround her and arrest her on extortion charges.
Dwayne explains that after the arrest he took Rocky’s advice to heart to always look after Ata & Lia. Lia beats the extortion charges but that’s a story for a different time.
Bethlehem, PA 1988....
Dewey keep racking up college football offers as his high school play has impressed. In home recruitment visits, phone calls and advice from all his friends start to get overwhelming. At school though Dewey is upset Fine Ass Karen won’t talk to him.
Dewey is upset Miami hasn’t called or sent a letter so he calls them saying they’re making a mistake not giving him a look. His confidence is high after the call so he walks into Karen’s class the next day and asks her to prom. She has a boyfriend who Dewey calls a “roody-poo candy ass”.
We see Ata playing her ukulele for Miami’s Coach Erickson who has decided to pay a visit to The Johnson’s home after Dewey’s phone call. Dewey is a hour late to the meeting because he was in the gym. This impressed Miami and he’s offered a spot.
They got out to dinner to celebrate where Dewey says he’ll be buying them a house after he makes the NFL.
Randall & Dwayne recap that his time at Miami doesn’t go as planned.
Tampa 1995....
Dwayne is working as a trainer in a gym while training for the draft with Rocky. At home the family watches the NFL draft. The round kept passing and nothing on day one or day two. The draft ends and Dwayne is passed over and he’s crushed he broke his promise that he’d make the NFL and buy them a house. Ata gives him her ukulele and tells him that his dream might be different now but that he’ll still do big thins.
Dwayne is offered a job with Calgary of the Canadian Football League.
Dwayne goes out to the yard to feed the birds like he did with Andre. And Ata shows up. DWayne tells her he’s been getting nostalgic telling his life story and that he misses Rocky. She says he’s still with him and he and Lia are proud. They leave for a press conference and DWayne is overwhelmed, he tells Ata he thinks he’s going to win the Presidency.
Young Rock will return for Season Two.
