BIG CASS VS. GANGREL, SABU, MIL MUERTES, TEDDY LONG, CHARLIE HAAS, MELINA & MORE: SWE FURY SPRANG STAMPEDE ON FITE.TV REPORT FROM IRVING, TX

By Shannon Walsh on 2021-04-24 23:30:00

SWE Fury “Sprang Stampede” results from Irving, Texas, USA ???????? at Southern Junction on 4/24/21 live on FITE - https://www.fite.tv/watch/swe-fury-sprang-stampede/2p94a/

Bob Mauldin and Kevin Sullivan are the broadcast team. It's a packed house as the promotion continues to gain popularity after each event. The roster is a revolving mix of rising indie stars and legends using the “open door policy” motto.

GM Teddy Long came out to officially open the show. Music hit and after a long delay Salina de la Renta rushed out with The Blood Hunter. There were some audio issues but The Blood Hunter didn’t have the Texas Title with him as Salina insulted Texas and the fans there on the mic. The announcers said it was disrespectful that he’s the Texas Champion but he didn’t even bother to have the belt with him.

Mil Muertes beat Wes Brisco by Disqualification when Brisco used punches on him in the corner. Punches are illegal in SWE. They got into a pull apart brawl after the match.

Michael Shafer pinned Deimos after a Vader Bomb. Nigel Rabid was in the corner of  Shafer and Teal Piper was with Deimos. They got into an argument at ringside before the finish.

They had a 6-woman Battle Royal with Myka Madrid, Jasmin Allure and a few others who were never identified by the announcers. I think Madi Wrenkowski and Leila Grey were in it but the camera was all over the place. It went to a no-contest when The Boogey Man came out and the women ran away in fear. He got on the mic and kept calling out Rosemary but she never came out. She’s no doubt with the Impact Wrestling crew for the pay-per-view tomorrow and surrounding Impact tapings.

Frank Stone pinned Niles Plonk. Bam Bam Malone was on guest commentary because he’s out of action with an injury.

Big Caz XL beat Frankie Thomas and Khan in a handicap match by pinning them both at the same time. Melina was in the corner of Caz. After the match, The Blood Hunter (with the Texas Title this time) and Salina came out. They had a brief stare down with Caz and Melina on the ramp.

Texas Champion The Blood Hunter pinned Luke Curtis quickly. He was going to continue the punishment afterwards but Sabu ran out and attacked him with a chair.

Sabu came back out to brawl with The Blood Hunter. Salina wanted Blood Hunter to power bomb her into Sabu through a table like they did to Gangrel last show. Sabu moved out of the way and Salina was driven into it. Salina was carried out by Blood Hunter after officials forced Sabu to leave ringside.

Lacey Von Erich interviewed a bunch of little kids in the crowd during intermission. She let them practice doing wrestling moves on her.

Texas Champion The Blood Hunter pinned Sabu in a Hardcore Match after a powerbomb into a collapsed table. This was short. Salina ran down as Sabu was about to go high risk off the top rope and she hit him in the leg with a cane to set up the finish.

Andrew Anderson pinned Nobe Bryant after Anderson’s manager Nigel Rabid hit Bryant with a briefcase and the referee didn’t see it.

SWE Tag Team Champions Mike Anthony and Jon Omari beat Adam Asher and The Midnight Special when Midnight Special was pinned after Asher got frustrated and left him in the match alone.

SWE TV Champion Rodney Mack beat Jeremy Wyatt by Euthanasier submission.

Jazz came to the ring and asked Teddy Long to come out. Long put her over and said she's been working as the director of the SWE Women’s Division. Jazz said the women need to have the same titles as the men. She officially asked him for a SWE Women’s TV Title. Long agreed and told fans to stayed tuned because news about it will be coming in the future.

SWE World Champion Charlie Haas beat Heart Thob Jaden by ankle submission. Wes Brisco was on commentary sounding like a great baby face. Haas kept attacking Jaden after the match. Haas then got on the mic and called out Jake Paul.

Lacey Von Erich interviewed Action Jackson. Her mom came up and gave Jackson a kiss. There was a touching moment as a little boy said Jackson was his favorite wrestler and Jackson went over and hugged him. The kid cried with joy.   Von Erich is fantastic at doing lighthearted “on the scene/on the street” stuff like this. She brought in a little girl into the ring who didn’t look more than 6 or 7. She gave the girl an elbow drop then the girl recovered and put the Iron Claw on her. She had every little kid in the crowd get in the ring to play around and take a picture.

Mil Muertes pinned Andrew Jackson after a Flatliner. Kevin Sullivan talked about Lacey in the previous segment and joked that she’s Jim Cornette’s favorite interviewer.

Deimos pinned Edge Stone after a pedigree. Teal Piper was with Deimos as usual. Piper will soon have her own talk show segment called “Teal’s Pit” on SWE. Kevin Sullivan said Deimos reminds him of Bill Goldberg.

Salina did a backstage interview. It was hard to hear but she said something about an open challenge for the Texas Title.

Bob Mauldin said it’s a sold out show tonight.

SWE Women’s Champion Christi Jaynes pinned Renee Michelle after the Ushigoroshi. Jaynes brought in a bunch of kids in the ring to dance with her and help celebrate the victory like Junkyard Dog used to do in the WWF.

Big Caz XL pinned Gangrel when Melina got on the ring to cause a distraction. Gangrel spit the red liquid from the cup he brings to the ring at Melina after the match. She was wearing white. The announcers questioned if he was aiming for Big Caz XL and accidentally caught her instead.

James Beard joined the broadcast for the main event Lumberjack Strap Match. The lumberjacks will have straps too.

Max Castellanos went to a no-contest with Moonshine Ryan Mantell in a Strap Match when Mantell attacked two referees out of anger and frustration. Teddy Long came out and stopped the match. He said the two would have one final bout against each other to settle it once and for all. It will be a steel cage match on May 22 at Eddie Deen Ranch in Dallas and there must be a winner.
