H20 has released this show as part of IWTV’s Showcase of the Independents!

Match 1: Reid Walker vs Adonis Valerio

Good energy here. Commentary talks about how few matches these guys have under their belts but there’s plenty of chemistry between them here. They ramp up the as Walker on a twisting sunset flip, Adonis back with a spinebuster stack for two. Walker with a trio of stiff kicks and suplexes. A northern lights cant get the job done. Adonis with a knee and a heat seeker piledriver but only gets two. Adonis eats a high kick, Walker with a springboard frog splash for a near fall. Walker with a tiger bomb and stacks Adonis for the win. I liked this. They did a LOT but they never got out of their comfort zone of things they could execute cleanly which made a good watch.

Edward Hawkins is here with Lady Blakely to give a “Tour to End Harcore” speech about how the wrestlers in the back are destroying their bodies and lives doing this hardcore crap. They have a bill from the House of Representatives that will ban all hardcore elements in wrestling. No chairs, tables, light tube, glass, etc.  Big Red Ryan Redfield is here. Hawkins runs off and leaves/encourages Blakely to take him out. She takes a rock bottom instead. Whoops.

Match 2: Jeff Cannonball & Sean Henderson vs Kristian Ross, GG Everton & Chris Bradley

A 3-on-2 handicap match? The trio attacks before their opponents even hit the ring. Myke Quest’s music hits and he’s here to even the odds. Quest cleans out while Cannonball batters Ross with a door. GG hits a spinebuster for two, Henderson with a big ddt to get a two of his own. Lots of chaos everywhere right now. Cannonball and Ross have a sit down bar fight with cookie sheets, loud smacks here. “Sounds like a blue man group concert!” Quest sets up a door but Ross dropkicks him through it. Cannonball almost ends Ross but Bradley distracts Jeff Cannonball by baiting him into doing one of his short soda reviews (yes, look it up). Bradley hits a spear and Cannonball spews soda. Henderson hits a code red on Bradley but GG kicks the pin over and Bradley gets the three!

Winners: Kristian Ross, GG Everton & Chris Bradley

Match 3: Deklan Grant vs Chuck Payne

This is a non-title match so Payne’s H20 championship is safe. Payne runningGrant over with clotheslines and a powerslam for two. Payne beating him around ringside. Deklan gets a breather by running the champ into the post. Deklan finds ways to stun the big man, at one point. Baseball sliding a chair into his chest. A final chair shot opens up Payne and the monster wakes up. Big chair show to the head of Grant, grinding that fist into the skull and ramming his head into another chair. Sidewalk slam through a chair, Deklan dodges a chokeslam and throwing haymakers. Payne catches him running with a fallaway chokeslam, kick out! Payne grabs a bag of tacks and spreads ‘em. Deklan back dropped into them. Deklan dodges a superplex and powerbombs Payne off the corner into the tacks. Payne kicks out! Grant sets up a table and he calls out his tag partner Devon Moore to superplex Payne through the table. Dev drops an elbow, Grant makes the cover. Payne kicks out! Payne back up and hits a screwdriver brain buster to the tacks and Grant is OUT.

Winner: Chuck Payne

Match 4: Marc Angel vs Drew Blood (Devil’s Bullrope Match)

We have a bullrope. The bullrope has a cheese grater in the middle instead of a cowbell. The turnbuckles are covered in barbed wire. Drew is wearing heavy gloves and Angel is like ”IF I GOTTA TOUCH THOSE BUCKLES SO DO YOU TAKE THOSE OFF”. Yes, this is the “touch the four corners” version of this match instead the “eh, just beat each other up”. Drew gets ground up by the grater early. He powders and Angel gets a corner touched but he can’t get his opponent back in the ring. Drew grinds that grater in, and stomps Angel’s head into it. Drew misjudged the length of the rope and falls dead center of the ring. Angel taps three corners but gets pulled back inches before hitting the fourth. Drew firing up but Angle hits a pair of huge lariats. Angel gets three buckles again. Drew cuts it off but gets run into that barbed wire buckles. Superplexes and the cheese grater breaks off the bullrope. Three buckles and Drew pulls him back into the duel. Angel’s hands are getting cut up tagging these buckles. Angel with a superkick and he makes the walk around again. Drew pulls the bull rope into a low blow on Angel.  Running knee and brain buster from Drew! Blood is frantically tagging buckles. Angel guarding the fourth one! Drew comes running in, dives, Angel catches him in a fireman’s carry but Dew manages to tag the fourth buckle before Angel hits a rolling DVD. Angel is furious but Drew gets the win in a wild contest. I liked this!

Winner: Drew Blood

Match 5: Marcus Mathers vs Anthraxx

The ring is covered in doors and barbed wires boards. I’ve seen Mathers a few times this weekend but excited to see him working at home here. Psyching each other up and feeling out. Mathers doesn’t want to taste the wire but Anthraxx really wants him to. Lots of grappling early that breaks down into a slug fest. Mathers stunned with chops and Anthraxx DVD’s him deeeeeeeep into the wire. The kid is stuck and the ref is helping him out while Anthraxx goes to find more wire to wrap around his arm. He grinds it into his opponent and tries to powerbomb him through a door. German reversal from Mathers. He sets up wire on the door. Air raid crash through the barbed wire door! These two won’t die. Mathers with a sky high moonsault for two! Mathers grabs a pair of SOLID metal chairs and sets up a door down on the concrete. They battle on the concrete, Anthraxx takes advantage and elbow drops Mathers through that. Anthraxx blasting Mathers with door parts for a near fall. Both have cookie sheets and come a’clubbin. They both find a light tube and we’re have a sword fight. No joke, This was probably the best 1v1 light tube sword fight spot I‘ve seen all week.  Anthraxx drags him across the broken glass. GROSS. Mathers wakes up to hit a series of superkicks. Mathers wraps up a rings of saturn variation and grinds a light tube into his forehead. Anthraxx fading and taps out to Mathers. This was fun! Mathers is a maniac.

Winner: Marcus Mathers

Match 6: Jimmy Lloyd vs Rocket vs Alex Stretch vs Dyln McKay vs Frankie Pickard (Ladder Match)

The winner gets a contract to challenge for the H20 Hyrbrid championship anytime int he next 6 months (there IS a clipboard hanging from the roof). Rocket with a dropkick to the ladder on Stretch. Stretch sets up the ladder on the top buckle and powerbombs Rocket onto it. Lloyd in with an assault driver to the ladder in the corner. Ladders gear cleared and Rocket/McKay land shooting stars to Lloyd and Pickard. Lots of chaos from here. Pickard hits a one-winged angel through a ladder at ringside to Stretch. Darian Hardaway arrive to choke the life out of Rocket just before he grabs the contract. His partner Frankie Pickard looks conflicted to get the contract OR save his friend. Pickard decides to be a good friend. McKay brings in the BIG LADDER. Lloyd wants to cut it off but McKay hits a destroyer, scrambles up the ladder and grabs that clipboard!

Winner: Dyln McKay

Match 7: Jimmy Lyon vs Devon Moore (Weapons Match)

Both guys take swings from a bottle of Mad Dog before this kicks off. Moore gets boot washed with a water jug. He responds with about two dozen jug shots to the head, body and Testikles. THESE ARE F***ING BRUTAL LOOKING. Moore makes space with a cutter as they get back to the ring. It’s gusset plate time. Lyon is gushing. They should be called Gush-It plates. Lyon hits Moore with a stop ring for a near fall. Lyon is now well-lubricated. Moore DVD’d through a door. Lyon hits a destroyer for three. A sprint of a match and Lyon mostly steamrolled Moore here.

Winner: Jimmy Lyon

Main Event: Nolan Edward vs Austin Luke

Some feeling out and we go into some technical chains early. Nolan wants to work over that arm and wrist. Edward cuts it off with a leg kick, and whips Luke in a big forearm. Nolan uploading some loud cracking chops. Austin gets germaned into the corner and lands into some chairs. He powders, Nolan comes running but eats a garbage lid to the face. Austin comes running and face meets cookie sheet. Nolan wants to come off the top with that lid. Austin dropkicks it into his face and Nolan falls and explodes a table on his way down. Both guys are leaking but they gets REALLY fired up with forearms back and forth.  Crowd heating up on this. Luke with a back suplex pin attempt. Luke sets up a pair of chair, Nolan with the gory special and flapjacks Luke back into the chairs. Kick out! Luke pours a bag of tacks into the match. The battle of who takes this bump first is hot. Nolan strangles Luke up in the corners, Luke pulls him into a backpack and drops Edward into the sharp and pointies. Nolan gets a tack snack and kick chase. Nolan with a blue thunder bomb into the tacks. Lawn dart to the bottom buckle but Luke isn’t done. Nolan has a piece of broken table and clubs it to splinters over Nolan’s head. Luke fires up! Kicks, snap dragon to the tack, drive by dropkick to the corner, Nolan kicks out! Austin has some table parts to introduce Nolan’s head to. Luke hits a trio of butterfly suplexes to the tacks. He works an armbar but Nolan fighting out. Nolan with a brain buster to the tacks, Luke ain’t done. Luke blasts Nolan into the corner and hits a VAN TERMINATOR! Kick out! Luke has to escalate and grabs a pane of glass out of the back. Nolan up the top but Luke pulls him off with a cutter to the apron. Luke sets up the pane of glass on chairs. He takes Nolan up but gets stunned. Nolan hits a twisting butterfly suplex off the top through the chairs and glass. Austin Luke is down for the three! MASSIVE main event energy here. Loved this.

Winner: Nolan Edward

This was a pretty hot show. Crowd was amped up and gave these folks a lot of energy to work with. They also had a good ebb and flow in the type of violence we were inflicting match to match. A great add to the IWTV Showcase of the Independents lineup!
