IS LOGAN PAUL ABOUT TO BECOME A WWE MAINSTAY?

By Kendall Jenkins on 2021-04-12 09:20:00

It seems that every time you turn around, the Paul brothers have managed to appear on another global sporting platform. The blonde duo having slowly migrated from YouTube and Vine to the world of boxing, and now, most recently, the WWE. Indeed, Logan was recently a guest on SmackDown during Sami Zayn’s red carpet trailer where he received an invite to Wrestlemania.

It’s going to be a busy April for the Paul siblings when you consider that the week after Logan makes an appearance at Wrestlemania  37, Jake will be fighting retired UFC fighter, Ben Askren. The Ben Askren vs Jake Paul odds show that the younger Paul brother is in with a great chance of winning having being priced at 4/5.

Meanwhile, the 36-year-old Askren is at slightly longer odds of evens to win. Needless to say, a win for Jake Paul will raise the stock of both brothers even higher. With this being the case, it’s easy to see why WWE boss Vince McMahon is sanctioning a move to bring Logan into the business. The 75-year-old WWE CEO has been around long enough to know how lucrative Logan could be to his empire and with 23 million YouTube followers alone, the WWE viewership is bound to grow.

It remains to be seen if Logan will be involved in a WWE Wrestlemania brawl after witnessing Sami Zayn get a stunner from Kevin Owens. Owens then squared up to Logan briefly and appeared to shove the 26-year-old YouTuber before leaving the ring. Naturally, this has left wrestling fans genuinely excited as the prospect of the recently turned professional boxer showing his skills in the WWE ring.  So what can WWE fans expect from Logan?

Logan only has one professional boxing fight to his name so far having gone head-to-head with fellow YouTube star KSI in November 2019. Sadly for the oldest Paul brother, the judges deemed KSI to have done enough on the night and awarded the 27-year-old the victory which left Logan with a boxing record that reads 0-1.

Despite this, Floyd Mayweather has agreed to fight Logan in a match that will generate both fighters millions in revenue. Mayweather, who is at odds of 1/100 to win the fight, has suggested that he will make in the region of $100 million for this bout, which is quite extraordinary when you consider that Logan has never won a professional boxing match in his life. On top of that, he is at outside odds of 20/1 to win.

In this day and age, that doesn’t mean as much as it used to, given that the fact of the matter is that Logan Paul is big business and a digital icon for Millennials all around the world. In reality, what the 26-year-old lacks in discernible skills in the boxing ring, he more than makes up for with the masses of eyeballs that he brings to the table.

The WWE seem to be the latest organization making a bid to bring him into the fold and, after a successful SmackDown debut, it appears that Logan could be a natural.
